After a matinee at nearby Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack, our party of four headed for the Mt. Ivy Cafe, a short drive north via Palisades Interstate Parkway. A performance of Edward Albee’s “The Goat” left us with little appetite but much to discuss. The lure for dinner was the $15.95 Early Bird Special that includes soup or salad, entree, veggie... Went here for dinner and it wasn't busy. Great service and so much food I took most of my dinner home. The macaroni and cheese appetizer was amazing, it's hard to share!

A neighborhood gem that never disapoints. Whether a selection from the standard menu or special, the portions are hardy and reasonably priced. Staff is always accommodating and the owner is a sweetheart our families go to place.

Whenever my husband and I want a really good meal out, we head for Mt. Ivy Cafe. The food is always great and we order many different dishes because they are all so delicious. The stuffed shrimp has real shrimp and real crabmeat in the plentiful stuffing; the lobster ravioli is far better than I've had anywhere else, always filled... More

This is a must stop for dinner location if in Pomona. Specials and regular menus are offered. Fresh bread is brought to the table. Delicious dinners served with soup or salad, vegetable and entries are plentiful. I enjoyed the calamari as an appetizer, and veal parm as my entree. Well prepared, well presented, and well eaten. Service is very friendly... More

This is a reliably good place. However, there are some hit or miss items. For example, I was there tonight and had the beet and pear salad. It was really sub-par compared to most of the other items I have had at Mt Ivy Cafe. For the pears, they used CANNED fruit. I was really shocked! Also the feta on... More

My family, friends & I frequent this place for it's quality food & good service. Best penne vodka around, great mussels. Have yet to try the bar menu but I hear it's great. Good size portions. Decent choices for early bird special too. The other night my friend & I walked in close to closing without realizing, just to grab... More

My wife and I have been to the restaurant several times. It seems to get better with age. The atmosphere is strip shopping center plain. The menu is large enough for everyone to find something they will enjoy. The food is always fresh and well prepared. The portions are never skimpy. The price is lower than you would expect for... I like the quiet and calm of Mt Ivy Cafe. It's a great place to go with your honey for a quiet romantic evening. The food is always good and the serve is great.

I usually go here for breakfast even if its lunch time. They menu is like a "Book".. There are so many items to choose from. Whatever your in the mood for, they pretty much have it on the menu. Fast, friendly service. I never have to wait for a table as its a pretty big place. The prices are slightly... More
