I was hoping to LOVE this place and suggest it for special occasions to come. My friend even suggested it would be a perfect venue for my eventual wedding. But when the staff makes a careless mistake like failing to mention the property is closed on the day we requested a reservation, and the management cheerfully sends us away, I'm... More

When my husband and I visited BHSB for dinner, we didn't have the foresight to make a reservation a month in advance so we decided to take our chances at the bar seating. This amounts to a total of about 12 seats up for grabs. We arrived at the door of the restaurant to stake our claim at 4:00 (the... More

What an exciting four hour treat! It was the epitome of on site farm fresh dining. The decor was a beautiful contemporary farm house decorated by the general manager. The service was superb, the right amount of personal attention. Great interaction between diners, servers, and sommeliers. The food courses were beautifully displayed and presented as delicate works of art with... More

A friend in New Canaan suggested we make the trip out from NYC to go to his favourite restaurant whilst we were visiting the US and I am glad we made the trip. This was the best and most interesting meal I have enjoyed since a visit to Marc Veyrat's La Ferme de Mon Pere in Megeve, sadly now closed.... More

Had taken a tour of these facilities and found the time to be interesting. Learned that the food was legendary but did not have an opportunity to participate and try the cuisine. Had learned that the prices, reflected a very special place, and were quite high.

My husband, I and another couple made reservations over two months ago and have been eagerly anticipating this day. We got there about 3 hours before our 5pm reservation. The grounds are breathtaking and we greatly enjoyed seeing all the animals and gardens. We changed into some fancier clothes and headed to the restaurant at 5 sharp. It became immediately... More

We left Grand Central Station on the 6:22 train that made its first stop in Tarrytown then took a taxi to Stone Barns. They sent us home with a car & driver. We got home at 1am. Time each way is about an hour. Round trip cost is about $200. This is a perfectly civilized way to experience this 7... More

We have been several times - once we ate in the dining room and several times at the bar. It is a unique experience. Yes, the food is excellent. But the service is impeccable and the experience of learning about the farm, the food source, and the artistry of utilizing such a wonderful resource really punctuates the visit. Most recently... You could easily spend $300 at Disneyland for a few hours, but after you've been there done that, I advise adding this to your bucket list if you can imagine food can be just as fun. As well, the employees seem to enjoy their job just as much, too. Go. Keep an open mind. Let the fireflies that greet you... More

We went there knowing we could stay just for a drink, we didn't have a reservation. But the staff was so kind that they allowed us to enjoy the full dinner experience at the bar. And what an experience! Incredible what they do there in terms of exquisite tastes, combinations and the kind. And they proportionate some very special moments... More
