Had taken a tour of these facilities and found the time to be interesting. Learned that the food was legendary but did not have an opportunity to participate and try the cuisine. Had learned that the prices, reflected a very special place, and were quite high.

My husband, I and another couple made reservations over two months ago and have been eagerly anticipating this day. We got there about 3 hours before our 5pm reservation. The grounds are breathtaking and we greatly enjoyed seeing all the animals and gardens. We changed into some fancier clothes and headed to the restaurant at 5 sharp. It became immediately... More

We left Grand Central Station on the 6:22 train that made its first stop in Tarrytown then took a taxi to Stone Barns. They sent us home with a car & driver. We got home at 1am. Time each way is about an hour. Round trip cost is about $200. This is a perfectly civilized way to experience this 7... More

We have been several times - once we ate in the dining room and several times at the bar. It is a unique experience. Yes, the food is excellent. But the service is impeccable and the experience of learning about the farm, the food source, and the artistry of utilizing such a wonderful resource really punctuates the visit. Most recently... You could easily spend $300 at Disneyland for a few hours, but after you've been there done that, I advise adding this to your bucket list if you can imagine food can be just as fun. As well, the employees seem to enjoy their job just as much, too. Go. Keep an open mind. Let the fireflies that greet you... More

We went there knowing we could stay just for a drink, we didn't have a reservation. But the staff was so kind that they allowed us to enjoy the full dinner experience at the bar. And what an experience! Incredible what they do there in terms of exquisite tastes, combinations and the kind. And they proportionate some very special moments... More

the quality of the food was superlative and the setting gorgeous but very fussy and precious. we had a late reservation so opted for the smaller menu which still took 3 hours. raw baby radishes, fennel and bok choi on wire stakes as the first course gave me an idea that this was food as performance art. by the time... I left this restaurant this past Sunday night feeling as if I had been the butt of a bad and very expensive joke. But. I'll get to that, let me start with the positive. The grounds are just breathtaking. The wait staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The wine was superb and helped me to endure the five hours it... More

We (two 30-something year olds) did a trip from NYC and did the farm tour (2 hours/$20) which was a fantastic inside look of the history & agriculture behind the farm. I'd highly recommend this tour. We had people from highschool to retired age, and everyone loved it. We then had dinner which was the top 2 dinners of my... More

Went there on a business dinner. Had the farmers feast and it's worth the price. Don't be afraid to tell what you'd like or what you can't have, the chef is very accommodating. A real treat and worth the investment. Be sure to budget lots of time - its a long evening of eating. A not-to-be-missed experience.
