Excellent presentation. All the plates were like artwork and tasted heavenly - and the drink menu was a perfect fit. The visit in the kitchen topped the experience. A head's up to those of you who are expecting big plates and lots of meat or fish. You will not get it. This is a tasting menu and mainly consist of... More

I have experienced "tasting menus" at other high end restaurants. When I left those restaurants I felt as if it was one of the best dining experiences I ever had. THIS WAS NOT! Almost every course is RAW VEGETABLES, and when there was cooked food it was either salty or overrun with ginger. When I had to cut raw brussel... More

We went there on Sunday for brunch. It is the same menu as the evenings *(which means there is no set menu) but the experience was even better! You get to enjoy the view and see everything clearly before you eat them. The visual is so nicely done, they also open different parts on the dinning room for you to... More

After trying for a number of years, we finally got a reservation! So needless to say, the anticipation was high - not always a good thing. Let's tackle the food - it was interesting to look at - the presentations were like works of art, the taste & quality of the food was excellent. There's more staff than one can... More

This place has had a dumb run for a couple of years capitalizing on the whole farm raised 'sustainable' lala thing when it was new but it's now it's old and time to say it: THEY ARE LAUGHING ALL THE TO THE BANK! Do you really want pork eye socket and 37 other disgusting postage stamp morsels with a glass... More

Ok...so everyone wants to go to Blue Hill as it is THE place to eat --especially for us non-NYC folk. So, we speak to hostesses that make it clear you are annoying them and then, if they are willing to bestow the wonderment of a reservation, the you can spend the next three months building this place up in your... A spectacular setting. The food was excellent and most was locally grown. Portions are tiny, wait staff excellent. A great experience...but very pricey.

If you decide to dine here, pick an early time slot because the "experience" will keep you there for at least 3hrs maybe more, and not necessarily willingly. You also get to see the grounds if you get there early. You should not expect a square meal, it's like a tasting menu. We found some servings to be salty, and... More

Our daughter and husband gave us a gift certificate as a Christmas present/thank you. We made reservations for September since we did not want to deal with root vegetables and a limited menu selection of winter foods. I would never have gone to this restaurant had I not received the gift certificate. Our reservation was for 5 pm on a... More

We were two couples on a week long tour of the Hudson Valley. We'd read of Blue Hill in the NY Times, so it was included in our plans. One of our group had made a reservation some time in advance, but neglected to get a confirmation. We arrived with high expectations, as we'd met guests staying at the same... More
