We paid 27.00 for two meals take-out. Way overpriced. The rice and beans tasted microwaved and/or boxed. My chimichanga had large peppers of every kind and not much else in it. The beans were very runny, and practically sliding outta the box. The. Meals were very expensive and poor for taste, I will not go back or recommend it.

The Pepper is alwasy busy. I think this is because you can always find something that you will like. Excellent margarita's. My favorite dish is their mussel appetizer. When I was there last for an early dinner I tried, for the first time, their mole chicken dish, which was very good. I would have it again. The wait staff is... More

It looked run down from the outside, so I went in to check it out ahead of lunch. The place reeked of what I suggest may have been a bug spray, and the menu was dull-typed & not very clean. Sorry, it would need to get up to par to suit me. I wouldn't eat there.

We have been starved for good Mexican food and thought to give this a try. Salsa is good but not much else. Fish tacos were passable but rice and beans were terrible. Pass this one by.

Was on a quick day trip in Plattsburg and wanted to luch for something better than juck food from a chain. Saw this pretty place driving down the streets. I was epexting for mexican food, but was more "tex-mex" food. But any how, I'm happy of my choice, food was excellent and fresh, and the place is very pretty, will... More

The Pepper is my favorite place to go out to eat in Plattsburgh. I love the chips and salsa. The margaritas are awesome. I always end up ordering the same thing(chile rellenos fundido) because it's so good. I have tried a few other things which are also excellent. The only thing I wish was different was that they had more... More

We went as a group and discovered that all the dishes were just way, way too overspiced that it actually made the food un-attractive. After a few bites the dish just tasted the same. Too bad they have a decent menu.

Atmosphere is great and so are the drinks. The food looks good but unfortunately it doesn't taste so good. Feel pretty sick after eating there, especially after eating stale chips. It's too bad.

My girlfriend is from Plattsburgh originally, so whenever we are there to visit we ALWAYS stop in for Margaritas and the sautéed calamari! Nice ambiance for quaint little downtown Plattsburgh. The owner is a former employee when it was named "The Smoked Pepper" and it shows in the dedication to quality food and drinks at this great little local establishment!... More
