Renovated Farm house provided a very nice venue. We purposely wanted something other than a franchise and local. This was a nice choice. The crab and shrimp salad was great at $9; our friends split a prime rib sandwich special of the day; my wife had the chorizo sausage sandwich which all was good. the asparagus soup appetizer was good...... Anthony's has the best food and the best atmosphere in Plattsburgh. After traveling abroad, we always come home so grateful we have such fabulously prepared cuisine as Anthony's serves. The menu often has new additions and the specials are unique and delicious. Our very favorite is their excellent wine list and homemade ice cream. The staff are helpful, enjoyable and... More

I'm so glad to have gone to this restaurant which has the class to match it's exceptional food without being even slightly pretentious. I ate in the Bistro part with 5 colleagues and we were offered both the bistro menu and the slightly more upscale dining room menu. We chose items from both. The waitstaff was polite and attentive and... More

The last time I visited this restaurant was nine years ago and I remember how good, and unique, my dinner was. This time every bit as enjoyable, and again unique. I had the wild boar dinner. The facility has two choices of décor and both are very nice and tasteful. Also a great bar.

This got great reviews from others but I found it expensive for the decent but not great quality of the food. Also when we arrived the host steered us toward the bistro rather than the dining room I guess since we had on jeans even tho there was a large loud slightly drunken party in the bistro section. The food... More

A early dinner and a great experience! The wine list is good as you would find outside of NYC , priced well and selection as good. The bar man was very accommodating and knowledge on all matters. The first course was a well prepaired confit roll, a little oily, but great flavor. The Tuna Carpaccio was as rare ,raw, as... More

We ended up in Plattsburgh after discovering that all the hotels were full in Burlington, VT. It had been years I didn't go to Plattsburgh and rediscovered that culinary desert. No good restaurant whatsoever. We finally found Anthony's online. It's not that the food or service is great... it's just that it's thousands of times better than anything around (it's... More

I ate there after a long day of driving on a business trip. Locals love this place & I'm certainly glad they welcomed me w open arms & tasty grilled calimari. Highly recommended.

In an area not know culinary charisma, Anthony's stand out. Not spectacular, just good food, good service, and reasonable prices, especially in the bistro. Their homemade sausage on pasta is real treat. Headed for Montreal from New York and feeling a little peckish. If your timing is right, get off the Northway(87) at the Rt. 3 Plattsburgh exit and go... More

Anthony's had been my go-to restaurant for 28 years until an unacceptable veal loin wrapped in home grown BITTER, past the season, basil leaves a year+ ago. The chef refused to acknowledge that a special he prepared, with his own ingrediants, could be unnacceptable. Reducing the bill was like pulling my own teeth. They'll comp a dessert but after an...
