Based on the different restaurant reviews in this area we decided to try Arnie's. Arriving to the restaurant we didn't think much of the place as a little renovation is kind of due. We were four people, we all had a different meal and all of us were pleased. The service started a little arch as we arrived like 30... More

Variety of offerings, food was good with decent prices - nothing wow worthy. Pizza crust a little on the thick side but decent. Pasta sauce with spaghetti not my favorite but good. Was with a party of 6 (3 adults/3 children) - nice wait staff. Quaint space with a european inspired set up (restaurant upstairs and bar on the first... More

I went to Arnies for the first time in the fall of 67, which was my freshman year at SUNY Plattsburgh. I was from Long Island and had plenty of experience with eating out at Italian restaurants and at my Italian friends houses. Arnies is great. I presently live in Connecticut and have been back to Plattsburgh every year since... More

My wife and I decided to try a local restaurant called Arnies. We are from long island New York and are used to some very good restaurants. We are casual people and do not mind the antiquated casual feel of the restaurant. Let me just get to it. This food tasted like left overs from the TV show restaurant impossible.... More

We love the pizza and the antipasto here. We would come here with my parents when they were alive. I like the manicotti also! The upstairs feels like an old fashioned Italian restaurant, perfect just the way it is.

We finally got round to trying Arnie's for the first time. Things started off really great. My Calamari was excellent and my wife's shrimp cocktail was very fresh. And that is one thing I will have to give them 5 stars on. The quality and freshness of the food was obvious. The service was pretty good too although our waitress... More

Needed a restaurant recommendation for Plattsburgh, so asked a friend of mine who has lived there many years. We went to celebrate my nephews graduation from SUNY Plattsburgh. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. We ate in the downstairs bar area. Many of us ordered lasagna, the restaurant's specialty. Didn't find anything special about it. The bread was not... More

We just came from an open house at SUNY Plattsburgh and wanted a late lunch. My son got the bacon burger med-rare and it was cooked to perfection! I just wanted soup and the minestrone was just right. It was a super find for us and we look forward to going back over the next 4 years! We are in... More

I was visiting friends & wanted "real" Italian food, not chain Italian food. Arnie's was suggested. The food was good, nothing special. I ordered Chicken Parmesan. Our meal started with bread & butter; no salad unless you pay extra for it. My meal was good, but it was nothing more than a chicken patty covered with melted cheese & some... More
