Good value

This place will not blow you away with ambiance or historic charm, but you'd be very challenged to come up with better value for your dining dollar. Great beverage value as well as classic Thau dishes. Yum.

I have always been fearful of ordering new things. I had never had Thai before but took the leap and my mind was blown. There was a pasta dish with rice noodles, egg, and a lightly sweet sauce that I had and it was one of the greatest eating experiences I can remember recently. I will be returning to try... More

Since I moved to Plattsburgh from San Francisco, I've been on the hunt for quality asian food. The chinese restauarants severely disappointed, Koto's was mediocre at best, but this place... yum! It's not as spicy as I would expect - I ordered drunken noodled, so dubbed because you'll theoretically get srunk from how much you'll have to drink to quench... More

Took 2 12 year olds a 16 year old and us for dinner... We went to the NEW location on route 30... it was chilly inside as the door is right there but the service was very good .... The Drunken Noodles that my Fiance and I always have were excellent as were a hand full of appetizers ... my... More

First off, I readily admit that I don't "know" Thai food like some people do, but I have been told my some in the area who know, this is authentic Thai, and I believe it simply because it's amazing. I particularly like the Chicken Cashew Nut, Pad Prik Pow, Pad Prew Wan, and Pong Garee (all rice entrées that I... More

Sawatdee has opened a Noodle Bowl restaurant on Rte 3 in Plattsburgh across from Wendy's. The most delicious large bowls filled with noodles, a variety of fish, meat, tofu or vegetarian. The broths are so good. If you have never eaten at a Noodle Bowl restaurant, then you need to go try this new adventure! You won't be sorry!

We had previously tried food from this restaurant and were very disappointed with the lack of spice and taste. Based on the idea that it is a 'Thai' restaurant and we used to live in California and ate at many Thai places...the food was bland, unattractive (bunch of boiled white tasteless chicken) and yuck. THEN we decided to give it... More

Food is great, large portions. Located downtown, easy access and parking. Basic decor, good service, nice place for a casual meal.

Now just living a couple blocks away makes Sawatdees one of our regular go-to restaurants downtown. Visit after visit, our food comes out of the kitchen pipping hot and delicious. I should branch out and try more of their dishes, but my favorite, time after time, is the Pad Kee Mao or Drunken Noodle. Although I love this dish with... More
