Noodles!!! Great GF options too!

So there is a new Sawatdee restaurant in Plattsburgh, and we had the pleasure of dining there last week. This second version has a different menu, including a couple of gf appetizers (rooster rolls and golden bags) plus kim chee, as well as the usual favorites of Pad Thai and various curries. All our expectations of authentic Thai food were met. Very pleased to find such a dining choice in Plattsburgh. Prices were very reasonable. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The only change we would make would be the background music. Thai, or oriental (at least) music would be preferable to pop. A very minor complaint to a very enjoyable experience. We... More

While the entree was very good, appetizers were just ok. Peanut sauce with chicken appetizer was not good, although it had another separate sauce that was good. They charged me $2 when I asked for a couple extra wontons for the soup.

The best Thai food in the area. Delicious, homemade, fast, great service. I have no issues with this restaurant ever. I've been here 4 times total and never had a bad experience.

Every time I return to Sawatdee, it is like having dinner at a friends house. The waitresses are always helpful, jovial and offering ideas for new things to try. We went with 12 friends, and service was excellent. All meals were correct and came out at the same time. Because everything is made fresh to order you can make the... More

First time eating at this restaurant and was very pleased! I cook, and am very familiar with Thai food and was curious to see how this place would compare. VERY friendly staff with all of the food authentically cooked by Thai chefs. I will definitely be back!!

This place will not blow you away with ambiance or historic charm, but you'd be very challenged to come up with better value for your dining dollar. Great beverage value as well as classic Thau dishes. Yum.

I have always been fearful of ordering new things. I had never had Thai before but took the leap and my mind was blown. There was a pasta dish with rice noodles, egg, and a lightly sweet sauce that I had and it was one of the greatest eating experiences I can remember recently. I will be returning to try... More

Since I moved to Plattsburgh from San Francisco, I've been on the hunt for quality asian food. The chinese restauarants severely disappointed, Koto's was mediocre at best, but this place... yum! It's not as spicy as I would expect - I ordered drunken noodled, so dubbed because you'll theoretically get srunk from how much you'll have to drink to quench... More
