Loved this restaurant, so pretty outside, and view of the Canal is lovely. I bet it's really nice in the evening.

Visited Richardson's with my wife and four friends. The drinks we ordered were not complicated and were served quickly. We all started with salads and the three guys also had oysters. The main course consisted of three Rack of lamb orders, scallops, salmon and beef tenderloin. All the guests were very satisfied with their selection. The meals came out quickly,... More

Had dinner last night with the wife and 3 other couples, we were given the semi-private room upstairs, great set up, table was spacious. Michael our server is always very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and very professional. As they have their Austrian menu for a few weeks each year I had to go with the Austrian Goulash and... More

My husband and I visited early on a Friday night (6:30). There were few others when we started our meal, and it became busier as the meal progressed, but the service was wonderful throughout the meal. We started the meal with duck liver mousse, had the RICHARDSON salad, and duck breast and walleye on bean stew. Everything was delicious! Examples... More

Drove over from downtown Rochester to Pittsford to dine by the Erie Canal on a cold February evening. With a foot of snow on the ground we didn't get to enjoy outdoor patio dining, but instead had a cozy warm spot by the fire. My teenage son had lentil soup and Hazelnut Gnocchi from the regular menu. I had carrot/ginger... More

This is our go to place for special and romantic occasions. My husband is hard of hearing, and I always let them know ahead of time. We are always seated in a nice quiet area that we can hear each other. The wine list is varied. I also love that the menu changes to what is fresh for the season.... More

Been there with some international business guests. Food was very good, service excellent. Excellent choice of wines and other spirits. Will visit again, that's for sure.

Superb old world cuisine in a historic canal house on the storied Erie Canal. The owner, from Austria, prepares fine European meals. The atmosphere is very cozy.

We gave it another try recently. Some good some bad. Room was comfortable and the service was good. The salad was large and well done. Filet and chicken dish got a thumbs up, the salmon was not well received. The creme brûlée who many thought would be good was dreadful. The "top" was so burnt it was similar to burnt... More
