Take a bite out of time

McGrath's has the feel of a country pub in the UK. Don't order a drink before browsing the specials. I missed out on a basil blueberry lemonade with rum by asking about the brews on tap. Visited with a group for dinner. Food was quick to arrive and well presented. The blueberry salad was a hit, the veggie burger soggy. The fish and chips looked...sad. We were later in the evening so the ambiance was pleasant. Parking could be difficult, since its a small lot. Service pleasant. Would not be my first choice for a repeat... More

A traditional Irish Pub! Can not beat the bangers & mash paired with one of the local microbrews from upstate New York.

Visited this quaint tavern for an early dinner. Prices were very reasonably and the portions size able. We had 4 different meals and each was delicious. Shepard's pie was the best I've had outside of being on my family farm in Ireland. Chicken fingers and Mac & Cheese were terrific and the mini Chicken Pot pies were perfect. The jalapeño... More

We have been dining here for many years thru many changes in ownership. At our most recent visit we requested bread with our cocktails. When it finally arrived it was cold like it just came from the freezer or fridge. I ordered the Pub Clams. While flavorful they we're tough and overcooked with just a skim of broth on the... More

Good food not great. Excellent salmon. Rice was bland and the dressing on the cabbage salad was thick as paste. Our waitress Jessica was awesome. Very attentive and timed her check ins and food updates perfectly. She could teach most waitresses a thing or two. The tables were nicely spread out and it was quiet enough to talk. One draw... Met friends for lunch, service friendly and personable but slow. Food just fine except my French Fries were cold. Guests enjoyed their food. We ate on the porch which is a pleasant room.

I stopped in to McGrath's Tavern one afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner and was pleasantly surprised with the 1/2 price happy hour draft specials from 4pmm to 7pm. The young lady bartending was very kind and attentive to all my needs. I ordered a burger and was also surprised that it was on the daily happy hour special, I... More

Fish and chips were heavy on batter. I asked for vinaigrette for my salad and got a creamy balsamic. My sister ordered the salmon and it was tasty but on the dry side. I could have accepted any of the dishes being not the best if the wait staff was attentive, but we had to wait for water, my sister... More

We actually were in route to another restaurant but found that it was closed. We decided to give this place a shot even after reading some of the unfavorable reviews. We were served promptly by a very pleasant young lady. The salads were fresh & had a few non typical ingredients, such as fresh fennel & was delicious! My friends... More
