The food, and service at Don Peppe is always fabulous. The baked clams and the linguini with clan sauce are a must. The house red wine is great too.

Classic Italian "family style" restaurant. Expect local conversation and it can get a bit loud. LOTS of food, but can get a bit pricey. Note they do not EVER have spaghetti and meatballs 😊. Our friend tried to order this and was rebuffed, but all in good humor. Fast service, but they space things out so you have time to... More

I had a meeting out by JFK so decided to pop in to Don Peppes for lunch. The meal was fantastic. All the food is family style so you are better off going with a big group to be able to try more menu items. The food is super fresh and the quality is on par with any fancy restaurant.... More

Was told for years this was a great place. Just got off a plane from Puerto Rico & can't look at rice and beans anymore. Needed a home style Italian meal. Started with tomatoes and mozzarella. Superb! The baked clams are whole not chopped, just the way I like em. Then a large plate of linguini w white clam sauce.... More

Do not miss out on the linguine with clams or the baked clams. They are amazing. Bring cash...they do not take credit cards!

in queens this is place everyone needs to visit at least once and then twenty times over again. the food is amazing. don't expect an elegant ambiance, but the food alone is what will have you returning for more.

The baked clams are the best I've ever had, the pasta is always al dente, and the chicken Don Peppe is to die for. No matter what you get, you get plenty and it's always delicious! Bring your appetite and cash...no credit cards or reservations.

We made the effort to go from the city out to Queens on a friends recommendation. The restaurant does not take reservation or credit cards and you cannot bring your own wine. That being said I thought the experience was worth it. With so many great Italian restaurants in the city was looking for something different. After waiting around 30... More

Best baked clams I've had. Portions are very large. I have no idea what kind of wine the house red is but order it. It's served chilled and goes great with almost anything on the menu. Both the white and red clam sauce are great. The chicken scarpariello on the bone is the best interpretation of this classic dish that... More
