My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and I had lunch at the Thirsty Owl in August while touring Cayuga Lake wineries. They're open from 10:00AM - 5:30PM. They have a nice menu selection and their view of Cayuga Lake is beautiful! My husband had Garlic Rock Shrimp, French Fries, and Margarita Flat Bread. I had the Cheddar Cheese Burger with a side... We enjoyed a two-hour lunch here recently, sipping wine while a light breeze blew up from the lake onto the covered deck overlooking the vineyards. We hadn't intended to dine for two hours since all we ordered was soup for me, and a sandwich for hubby, but the kitchen was backed up and our waiter forgot to return to take... More

The Thirsty Owl was the first winery we hit on our wine trail... and the least favorite. Busy and commercial. Wines were OK. The Bistro food was very good (excellent burgers) and worth the 40 minutes wait (also since there are limited options in the area!)

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday. Only a 15 minute wait during the noon hour which gave us time to do a wine tasting. Sat outside on the deck overlooking the lake. I have no issue waiting for food when it is well prepared. I had a burger which was delicious; my husband had the smoked fish appetizer which... More

To wait for more then 30 mins for a lunch is sad. The server was amazing and apologized many times for the wait. The food was ok nothing worth the wait. I would recommend to pack a lunch and enjoy the wine.

We had stopped at Thirsty Owl for our first stop on a wine tour. We had tasted the wine, which we really enjoyed and browsed the gift shop. The atmosphere for wine tasting was very nice and they had a helpful waitstaff to help us chose wines to taste. We then decided to eat lunch at the bistro at Thirsty... More

Thirsty Owl has a wonderful outdoor deck and a stunning view of Cayuga Lake. It's location in the middle of the Cayuga Wine Trail is perfect. We had just visited Toro Run, and had some really tasty tapas, otherwise the 30 minute wait for a table would've seemed like an eternity. Luckily Thirsty Owl is also a winery, so we... More

We stopped here while checking out some wineries around Cayuga lake. We are so glad we did. The view is beautiful, looking out over the lake, and the food was delicious. We started with the smoked trout spread - very, very good. I had Tarte Flambé flatbread and absolutely loved it. My husband scarfed down his cheddar burger. I took... More

In all honesty, I have never waited so long for a plain lunch to be served. What started as a late lunch became an early dinner. The food was fine, but nothing was worth this wait. The server was largely absent during this entire time. I would not go back and I would not recommend the bistro, unless you want... More
