Thirsty Owl has a wonderful outdoor deck and a stunning view of Cayuga Lake. It's location in the middle of the Cayuga Wine Trail is perfect. We had just visited Toro Run, and had some really tasty tapas, otherwise the 30 minute wait for a table would've seemed like an eternity. Luckily Thirsty Owl is also a winery, so we... More

We stopped here while checking out some wineries around Cayuga lake. We are so glad we did. The view is beautiful, looking out over the lake, and the food was delicious. We started with the smoked trout spread - very, very good. I had Tarte Flambé flatbread and absolutely loved it. My husband scarfed down his cheddar burger. I took... More

In all honesty, I have never waited so long for a plain lunch to be served. What started as a late lunch became an early dinner. The food was fine, but nothing was worth this wait. The server was largely absent during this entire time. I would not go back and I would not recommend the bistro, unless you want... More

When another local restaurant did not have what we wanted on their menu, we came to this place and WOW! Are we glad we did! Not only was the food delicious but the view, service and environment was really nice. We all had burgers and they were probably the best we have had in a restaurant in a long time.... More

We had a lovely lunch on the patio, which had spectacular views of Cayuga Lake. There was also indoor seating but outdoors was definitely better. For lunch my husband had a cheddar cheeseburger with a green salad. The meat was not done as ordered but our waitress took it back and it came out fine the next time. Nothing special... More

Beautiful views of Cayuga Lake from the outside tables (on a large covered patio deck). They also have indoor seating. Interesting to see the reviews here; several found the service to be good and the food to be lousy; several others found the food good and the service lousy! I thought our service was good. Food and drink came promptly.... More

The view over the lake from the bistro is fabulous and of course the wine from the vineyard is a great experience. These make the bistro a worthwhile. That said, the food is basic....but you're there for the wine and view.

We have dined at Thirsty Owl a few times due to the location. The covered patio has the best view of Cayuga Lake. So peaceful and the breeze is great. The food and service are so so but the ambiance makes up for it…they have live music and it makes you want to stay and drink for hours. The menu... More

The meager selection for lunch was OK and was not too bad, but the waiter was snarky and clearly wanted to be anywhere but there. Stay for the wine but skip the Bistro. Beautiful scenery is available elsewhere.

My husband and I had lunch here while visiting the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. The bistro is in a beautiful setting with views of the vineyards and the lake. The menu is somewhat limited but what we ordered was really good. The only negative, and it was a big negative was the attitude of our waiter. The service was REALLY... More
