Cute winery

Cute winery! Very beautiful view. I enjoyed Cayuga Ridge more, but Thirsty Owl is definitely worth a stop!

They have a nice outdoor bistro offering a nice lunch menu, and they serve their wines by the glass. While we waited a bit for our food to arrive, a fig and goat cheese flatbread and a fried chicken sandwich, the view of the winery and the lake was worth the wait. While the chicken sandwich was delicious, my flatbread... More

Pleasant friendly staff. Beautiful view of Cayuga Lake with food that was not only tasty, but well presented. It was not crowded early in the afternoon ,however this winery is so popular it became crowded by mid afternoon. Excellent wines (both red and white) the Chardonnay being my personal favorite. Highly recommend this winery as one of the finest in... More

While we enjoyed our cheeseburger and fried chicken sandwiches, there were a few disappointments in this visit. From the time of placing our order, it took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive at the table (and the restaurant was not full). In addition, I had a conversation with our waitress about my food allergy and we agreed on... More

After visiting a few wineries , we thought we should stop for a bite along the way. TA reviews recommended the Thirsty Owl. We were not disappointed. The beautiful patio overlooking the lake was our first sign of relaxation. The heavy pours of wine was our second.... Delicious trout sandwiches and a large beet salad were a nice change of... More

We went on a busy Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. We had a very modest wait of 15-20 minutes to be seated outside on the deck. After this service was slow, even as tables emptied out. One us had the Black and Blue Salad- very ample is size, but a lot of lettuce, the other had the cheddar burger-... More

Worth checking out; do the vineyard-winery and and enjoy the view while lunching or dining indoor or outdoor. Service was slow; noticed that the waitresses were also doing the dishes in the kitchen area (I wonder if they also were doing the cooking). Food was pretty good. The wine was quite nice. Great place to relax, downshift and enjoy the... More

Food was good - scenery excellent - wine was ok - waiter could tell you more about the wines than the staff at the wine tasting - they did not know anything about the wines or the grapes - very uninformed- unusual in this area

This is a must stop of you're in the area. The back patio overlooking the vineyards and the lake can't be beat. The food is excellent and every item is about $10 so a really bargain considering the quality, presentation, service and view. The Blue Cheese burger is large and delicious. The Pork Belly appetizer was also delicious. A bottle... More
