This is authentic Mexican people! Small place that is very clean. They do a big take out business. Only 6 tables and nothing fancy - just great food. I had the guacamole and my partner had the fish soup for appetizers. The bowl of fish soup was huge and delicious. Guacamole was excellent. I had the spicy shrimp for dinner... More

My granddaughter tells me that the name of this restaurant means " The Grandparents" and you get the feeling that they are cooking in the kitchen and the rest of the family is handling the dining room. Excellent food made to order and served in a beautiful and spotless room. May be tough to get a table because there are... More

My wife and I had hankering for Mexican food a couple of weeks ago. We have a couple of favorite Mexican restuarants that we really like, but we were in the mood to try something new. We did a quick web search and found Los Abuelos in Ossining. The comments weren't many, but people liked it. So we tried it,... More

I've been here once, after reading about it on on roadfood.com. It's a tiny little place but they have take out if it's too crowded, which it may be since it seems to be so popular. I liked the food a lot and the young lady who took my order 'to go' was very, nice, efficient and friendly. This really... More

Up some stairs to 6 tables in a well-lit space with old photographs and Mexican souvenirs. Menu is extensive, and very affordably priced. Beer comes in silly beer-shaped mugs. A complimentary appetizer of warm tortilla chips and freshly made salsa was unexpected and welcome. We'd been "warned" about large portions, and were not disappointed. Unfortunately no room left for the... More

This is a family owned and operated small restaurant with no bs. The food is authentic Mexican with a wide variety of menu items and drinks. A meal for two with the great guac appetizer and two Modelos is about 50 bucks. Don't miss the mole sauce or the steak chimichangas. The place is small without much atmosphere, and the... More

Every tex-mex joint in town claims to have "authentic" Mexican food, but this is the real thing. Owners Olga and Tony named the place after their parents, and they obviously learned well at home. The food is just right, with a wonderful blend of tastes. The room is too small, and it can feel like you are in someone's kitchen... More

Waiting for this little gem to expand into quarters where you feel less of an intrusion on the family who owns it. Self-conscious dining in small quarters - feels awkward to eat there - though the food is good.

I was taken here by a co-worker who raved about the food. Well its well hidden, you have to know where to look. Wordof advise if you are in a hurry - call ahead and order your food. All meals are made to order - and it takes quite a long time. They actually carry the soft drink - sangria... More

So small and inconspicuous you would miss it as you pass by. It is right next to the Portuguese bakery, and there is ample parking. Everyone inside the restaurant is friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere is nothing special, but I go with friends who can keep a lively conversation so I don't notice too much. 6-8 tables, bright inside, not... More
