Food was ok,.Bread was reheated white bread. Salad was soaked in dressing. My dish was a strange version of chicken parm, but called something else, but it WAS chicken parm with out bread crumbs on the chicken. It wasnt the best italian food I've had.

Every time we go to Bella Michael's we have enjoyed delicious food. We even took two fussy eaters there and they both ate more than usual and praised the restaurant. One reviewer said the service was slow which may be true. I know they are actually cooking the food, not popping it in the convention oven. This is a place... More

The food is good, but the service was incredibly slow both times we ate here. We tried it once years ago, and were seated two hours before we needed to be elsewhere, but we were still late to our show since it took so long to be served our meals. Their excuse that night was that they were "busy." So... More

Must try the seafood chowder. Loaded with mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari.,. Delicious and the cup is like most places' bowls... Bowl must be enough for a meal itself. Owner walking around and interacting with customers... Old school feel and service. Would hit again if in the area

Huge pasta plate. Inexpensive by California standards. Had to bring some home, it was so good. Had light Y breaded shrimp pasta dish with a small salad. Bread was fresh baked loaf. Bartender and waitress were friendly and were clearly used to having only locals come to visit, so I felt like an honored outsider who happened to drop in.

Quiet, local place with owners running the kitchen and front. Waitresses and owners friendly and socialable so the be prepared to relax and enjoy yourself. Food made it unforgettable. Menu is straightforward - nothing unpronouncable or pretentious. The courses come when they're ready, not sooner, so don't be in a hurry to eat and run. Can highly recommend the potato... More

this has quickly become one of my favorites in Oneonta. Today a friend and I each ordered a different sandwich and asked for them to be split between us. It was done cheerfully, which works so much nicer than doing it ourselves. I do have one complaint. Instead of offering us the options, the waitress walked away and was going... More

We have had some PHENOMENAL Italian meals in Utica and Syracuse, so we had high expectations for the top rated Italian restaurant in Oneonta. But instead of "wow", we got "bleh". This is a big restaurant with tile floors and zero ambiance. Bare walls. Frank Sinatra and other 60's staples playing on the stereo. Service was adequate. Food was okay,... More

It was not a busy night...The service was good, house wine was good, food was great great. For a place to do dinner on the road it was a great option.

This Italian restaurant is a very nice casual place to go for good food. Every entrée comes with a house salad, and the food is fresh and tasty. The staff was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed going to Bella Michael's.
