Definitely a favorite of locals, but we didn't feel out of place. Hubby had pulled pork - I had their "famous" chicken dinner. It was good ... chicken was moist and smoky. While they call it barbecued chicken, I think that means it was cooked on a barbecue grill - not that it's slathered with tomato-ey barbecue sauce like many... More

Better than I thought it would be. Eat the ribs. Amazing value for the money. Enjoyed the gift shop too.

'Til now the best chicken sandwich with honey mustard. The chicken breast was grilled, well spiced and tender. Delicious!

First time eating at Brook's and I highly recommend this place. Was visiting my daughter in Norwich NY and the 45 min drive was well worth it. Arrived around 5:30 on a Sat night and the line was well outside the door but about 30 min later we were seated and being served loafs of bread. I got the combo... More

Brooks is by far some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Each time I've gone I have had either the chicken or the full rack of St. Louis ribs. The ribs are a sweeter type sauce, which is typical in northern BBQ. They are famous for their chicken, which is also very good. Homemade loaves of bread are... More

We have been here several times and are never disappointed. There is sometimes a wait, but it is well worth it! The staff is friendly, service is quick and the barbecue chicken is delicous. The aroma alone from the outside of the restaurant was enough to sell us and beckon us inside. Prices are reasonable and very kid/family friendly.

Step back into the best of the 50s with this traditional restaurant. Very reasonable prices for a great meal. Recommend the chicken. Local corn-on-the-cob was excellent too, and I'm very picky about my veggies. Excellent place to bring your family during baseball week in Cooperstown.

We knew we were in for a treat when most of the folks that were waiting in line with us were locals! Line moves fast, don't be discouraged....but there is a take out window and lots of seating in the outside covered pavilion as well!

I grew up in Oneonta, and have been going here since I was a little kid (I'm 54 now). I remember the 1960s, when it was just a small place. Other than adding a few new items to their menu, very little has changed since then. Why mess with success? Plump, juicy BBQ chicken, cooked over an open charcoal grill... More
