this is the all time local favorite; people will tell you the bar-b-q chicken is the best ever; family run;
Brooks BBQ goes on the road and does fund raisers for churches - firehouses - I got it Friday at a near-by church - great system - you drive in give your order - pay - get tickets and they bring your chicken out to you in the car - and you drive out - I was in and out... More
They use the famous Cornell University Chicken recipe, and they cook their chicken to perfection. For the price, you can stop in at Brooks with a large family, and all leave stuffed for the same cost as it would take to go to a premium fast food restaurant. If you're in the Oneonta area, it is a must stop. Also,... More
Who doesn't like Brooks???????? My grandson was introduced to Brooks at age 5. He couldn't get enough of it, he wants to go there all the time, or get take out. Great food, great price, great place to eat.
Brooks BBQ has great food at reasonable prices; their chicken and ribs are what they're known for and they have great wings too. The takeout option is really handy. It's a bit noisy for any kind of "intimate" meeting, but other than that, it's a great choice for a place to eat.
Defintely Family Style Barbeque. You can get great food, with awesome barbeque flavors, for a very reasonable price. I had the shredded pork sandwich...just great. The baked beans were OK...but everything else was yum. Great comfort food!
If you are ever in OneNote New York it is a must stop, but just so you know there will be a wait 9 out of 10 times but I live there and know you won't be disappointed. The sampler platter is the best you get a little bit of everything and the price is very fair. Great for big... More

This place is NOT barbeque! Some sickly sweet "bbq sauce" drizzled over roast beef does not equal barbeque. The folks who eat here have obviously never had genuine barbeque. Perhaps the owners should visit any number of states (N. Carolina, Alabama, Texas, Missouri, S. Carolina, Virginia, etc.) who offer REAL barbeque. Actually they could just visit Syracuse, home of Dinosaur... More
