Stumbled across this restaurant located right off Rt 88 and was not disappointed. We arrived at 8pm on a Thursday night and even though they were closing in 30 minutes they took care of us. From the clams to the steak to the fish and chips and the wine selections (1/3 off bottles that night) there was something on the... More

Being a foodie isn't always easy outside of certain metropolitan meccas but there are always exceptions and The Farmhouse just outside the Oneonta city limits is certainly one of them. The beer and wine selection is limited but boasts some delicious, ice cold local favorites and enough varietals to keep it interesting. The appetizers are a little left of ordinary... More

When passing through the area we love to have lunch at this restaurant. It is closed for lunch on Sunday and Tuesday. The food is always delicious, the service excellent and the wine choices very, very good. Always a great place to stop, does not take too long and is quality food.

Wonderful lunch, Valentine's Day special crab quiche and turkey club panini with cranberry mayo. Dessert was huge - chocolate mousse and berry tart in puff pastry were delicious. Never a bad meal here, highly recommend. Reservations a must for dinner.

when I first moved here, I heard people rave about the Farmhouse. I've been a few times now, and find the food average at best-- uneven at worst. Unimaginative food items. You can find better at several other places in town, and for comparable (or even less) expense.

We visited this restaurant twice on a recent trip. We were in a party of six for dinner and had widely varied impressions. Two were great, two were just ok and two were sub-par. Several were fish dishes and this provided a disappointment The charm of the old house runs a bit thin when the antique nature extends to the... More

I have been wanting to try The Farmhouse for years but there always has been one barrier (Brooks BBQ). Each time I would pass this place Id want to try it but just couldn't give up my Brooks fix (its a 2 hour drive). This past Saturday (11/8/14) I decided to forgo Brooks and finally give The Farmhouse a shot.... More

We had a very nice dinner at the Farmhouse. The old house has a lot of charm. Our waiter was knowledgable, attentive and entertaining. We started with salads that were very good. The shrimp scampi and pasta with seafood marinara were both excellent. The desserts looked great, but we passed. The wine list had some good, affordable selections. Overall, good... More

I love the Brazilian steak. It is very good. Their pecan pie was also awesome. It is a little bit pricey though so I only go their when taking a visiting business associate out.
