a lot of potential

It must have been chefs night off. My meal was excellent; my spouses was overdone. A table next to us her meat was undercooked (raw). A large table had confused meal. But the atmosphere on the porch is nice, service good and, well, my food was great.

This restaurant is top notch... sadly, I wish it was closer to NYC or at least to a major metropolitan area. Their carefully thought out menu is worthy of the table cloth service. Mark (the proprietor) recommends the baked clams. Instead of salty breadcrumbs, it's filled with sausage, bell peppers and cheese... bit on the salty side, but definitely worth... More

My wife and I knew about TOAT years ago but never got the chance to go. My sister and brother and law who live in Schroon Lake sang their praises for years. We should have listened sooner. We called on the spur of the moment and were surprised that we could get in on a Saturday night, if we came... More

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely meal at The Owl at Twilight on a recent Tuesday night. We were greeted by the proprietor who would continue to check in on us throughout the night. We ordered a wine he recommends on the menu and we were not disappointed. The choices for appetizers and entrees were plentiful. I passed on... More

Enjoyed an early dinner with a friend the other night. What a wonderful experience! I had the clams appetizer and my friend had the beet salad. I had the pork tenderloin for my entree and my friend had the duck. Everything was absolutely incredible! The key lime pie for dessert was out-of-this-world! Our server, Bridgette was wonderful, and we ate... More

A magical place hidden away in the Adirondacks. We had heard about it and thought it was far but only a few minutes off Exit 26 on The Northway. Service was very attentive and dishes were creative and not too spicy even though they have many Latin American dishes. Desserts all homemade including Key Lime Pie from Key West and Ice... More

Wouldn't know from the outside that it is a white table cloth (yet very casual) restaurant, with absolutely delicious food and friendly, personal service.

My wife and I hoped to get into the Owl this summer but never really got around to it. We finally made a point to visit in October, right before they closed for the season. The place is small and nicely appointed, but our table was ready when we arrived so we didn't linger at the (very) small bar up... More

My wife and I had dinner here while staying at the Alpine Homestead B&B next door in late September. Recommended by our hosts, the Owl exceeded expectations. The mushroom and goat cheese appetizer was the perfect start. My wife had the pork loin, and I had the seafood stew. Both were excellent--we would recommend without reservation. The ambiance on the... More

Great and tasty Latin flair food, service and music. The seafood stew was excellent paired with the stuffed pepper. The duck was tasty and cooked to perfection.
