Great view and good food

We went there for our anniversary. We can't go there very often because it is on the pricier side of restaurant options in this area. But for a special occasion it's great. We had a 6:30 reservation. We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children We asked for a high chair for our 2 1/2 year old grandson at least 2 times. Finally, my husband wondered around and found one. We got our salad about 7:45. We got our meal at 8:45. We kept asking what was going on and... More

Claudia and I had a great dining experience on June 18, 2014. The food, every bite, from appetizer to dessert was great. The Blue Marlin special was exceptional and the portion size was more than generous. Likewise, the house made basil linguini as amazing. Ask for the Brownie Sunday with house made coconut ice cream. I don't think anyone else... More

The first time I have been back since 1956. The food was quite good. Well presented, Hot and delicious. The view of the valley is still spectacular. Our waitress kept everything moving. This is not a fast food operation so I would say the Service was good. We had a party of 8 and there were several large groups there... More

The locals LOVE this place (for the view and the food) but I wasn't 100% satisfied with my overall experience the first time I went. PROs - my friend's special was AWESOME and steaming so much it fogged up our glasses. The tortellini had a great taste and was a huge portion. - the unique, homemade ice creams are work... More

We don't usually eat here but since someone else was picking up the tab I went. Had the steak & lobster which was very good & service was good too. We just can't afford to eat here that often or we would visit more often!

The place is ok. Food is good, somebody said the bred is amazing, not for us. The service was bad. The food took more than an hour to be serve.

It was a bad experience. 12 people for dinner on a Saturday night. We were patient and didn't complain but before the actual entrees were served 4 people left. The waitress never revisited the table to explain the delay. She was not even visible while we were waiting. When she arrived with the entrees and saw that some people had... More

Came to celebrate a family wedding. The staff was very responsive to requests, the food (buffet style) was excellent and there was plenty of room for guests to sit comfortably, witness a wedding in front of the impressive fire place and then move to the "back room" for dancing!

The decor in the Ho-stah-geh is definitely outdated, however it doesn't take away from the atmosphere and the beautiful panoramic view. The service was excellent- even other servers came by to fill our waters and clear plates. The porterhouse was cooked well and the risotto was delicious. The broiled shrimp with Italian seasoning was ok. Fresh green beans came with... More
