Hadn't been to Old Forge in 25 years and had heard that Daikers had burned down and was rebuilt. Found out it hadn't burned but rather the family had a vision for an even bigger, more beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional and our group tried lots of appetizers and many different main courses. We had two young boys in... More

We have visited the Old Forge and Inlet area since I was a little girl but had never visited Daikers Inn before. I found it recommended on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. We arrived around 3:00 so we were unable to try the dinner menu but also didn't have to wait long for a table. The... More

I thoroughly enjoyed a lunch stop and can only imagine how much fun it is at night. Lots of good food and libations as well as eclectic games. Great service.

the atmosphere is great and it's a hopping place, but the service was terribly slow. Servers are either overworked or undertrained. Food was great. We would go back again.

We made our annual return to the Adirondacks this summer and of course the kids insisted that we go to Daikers. This time we went for a late lunch after a nice hike. The weather did not cooperate with us as it was raining all day. So what better to do than to enjoy a decent lunch, a few cold... More

We visit the ADK's every year as we have a cabin in Inlet, NY. We always make sure to visit Daiker's for dinner. We went early on a Thursday night and got right in. We usually like to enjoy sitting outside because it is right on the lake but this particular night it was a little to chilly. Everything was... More

We went to Daikers on a rainy Monday. The place was pretty busy. People were hanging out playing ping pong, pool, shuffleboard. The bar was busy and many people were at tables eating. I had the soup and salad. French onion. Yum! So good. The salad was huge and oh so good. The menu is big with many choices. I... More

We were camping at Old Forge for the weekend and opted to have dinner at Daikers instead of cooking at the campsite and boy are we glad we went here! We got there early on a Friday evening to get a good table outside overlooking the water and stayed for quite. We started with drinks then ordered dinner. All the... More

Being local, 20 miles away, which is local in the Adirondacks, we eat there every Friday. The fish fry and fish sandwich are big and very enjoyable.going there tonight to try some of the rest of the menu. Staff very friendly, but service is slow due to what seems an undersized kitchen, which is strange for a place that is... More

Daikers has a great location, right on the shore of 4th Lake overlooking Alger Island. We were staying a couple of doors down so we came here a few times for lunch with the kids. I thought it was odd that they were only seating people outdoors on the deck which led to a 45 minute wait for a table... More
