What a fabulous location and great food and drink. Just outside of old forge but it feels like your really in the Adirondacks. Too cold to camp. Go to daikers.

Overlooking Fourth Lake in the Fulton Chain of Lakes and directly across from Alger Island – an old haunt in days gone by – Daikers offers good food, reasonably priced, in a relaxed atmosphere. We usually go for lunch. It's probably hopping at night.

We had lunch out on the large deck on a beautiful fall day.The deck has 2 tiers so everyone has a great view. The lunch menu is typical tavern fare: burgers, wraps, salads etc. We both liked what we ordered, Be sure to order the fries! They are awesome & definitely worth the calories - even if you're on a... Last minute decision to stop for lunch on a beautiful fall day. Sat on deck overlooking 4th lake. Sign said understaffed so be patient, we were waited on promptly, served quickly and never rushed. Outside deck was packed. Had burgers and soup, both excellent. Pop was a bit flat but no big deal, not worth bothering the waitress. Very extensive... More

TO MANY RULES FOR DINING!! Went there for Dinner on a SATURDAY during Fireman's weekend, and could not order dinner because it was NOT 5 pm yet, but we were given a menu with DINNER items on it! What a tease! They put their wait staff through a lot of rules. Daiker's apparently prefers control over profit. Our party would... More

Based on positive recommendations from both family and other reviews, my family and I (my wife, children, and 13 members of her side of the family) all gave dinner at Daikers Inn a try. I was sorely disappointed by the experience. The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere - loud and tacky. The main room is massive and reverberant,... More

My sister-in-law treated me to lunch at this rustic looking restaurant. The weather was perfect and we were able to sit out side and had a wonderful view of one of the many lakes in the area. We had a great burger with a side of sweet potato coins (sliced fried sweet potatoes). It was late in the season and... More

The atmosphere is very laid back. You get great food for a wonderful price. They also have entertainment on certain nights. A great place to go!

We went to Daikers to listen to some good music. It is a new building which replaced the old one. It's clean and people of all ages go there in the evening to eat and drink. A good time.

Hadn't been to Old Forge in 25 years and had heard that Daikers had burned down and was rebuilt. Found out it hadn't burned but rather the family had a vision for an even bigger, more beautiful restaurant. The food was exceptional and our group tried lots of appetizers and many different main courses. We had two young boys in... More
