I have eaten in all the ocean beach restaurants and this is by far the best. Limited relatively simply menu....maybe that is part of their secret. Had the broiled squid and salmon both excellant. Indoors a little shabby but outdoors beautiful

we loved this place - stopped in here late afternoon for appys & drinks & we were overwhelmed by the service , food , and ambience (it's right on the marina ) --so understated when you walk past it -- And our entrees came out needing different temperatures than initially served to us -- they were more then happy to... We were in Ocean beach for two nights, the first night we kind of restaurant hopped for dinner. The restaurants were ok, the best part were the views (being on a dock on the water) the second night we were wondering around because not one of the restaurants made a lasting "I want to go back" impression. We asked a... More

What a disappointment. We waited 45 minutes for our reservation. Menu is not nearly as good as in past years. Substitution policy is do strict they wouldn't even grill something that is supposed to be steamed. Rib eye steaks were pure fat. Entrees took forever. The worst part of the experience was the manager. When we asked to speak to... More

Good food by fire island standards. The "local" cocktail was tasty, cucumber vodka and fresh watermelon juice. I had the muscles with pork belly and jalapeño wine sauce. The muscles were good but the pork belly really should have been crispy and not poached in the broth. My husband had the bacon lobster roll which was okay not the best.... More

We came here just for drinks and sat on the back deck to enjoy the view! They forgot the alcohol in my drink, but I almost caught a buzz from the gas fumes off the boats that were pulling up to the dock...yuk! I'm just glad we didn't order food!

We stayed in Ocean Beach for 3 days and had great meals the entire time. Sat night dinner, dining out on the water at the Hideaway was the best. Some locals told us to get the Fluke fish meal, it was out of this world. We also had the crab/corn chowder which was great too. The wait staff is busy... More

Seafood was delicious. Nice location. Lovely chef. Friendly service. Very enjoyable. I attended a wedding and it was one of the best events I have ever been to.

My wife and I decided to have a meal here after 2 or 3 locals recommended it as having the best food in Ocean Beach. We were not disappointed. My wife and I both had seafood that was fresh and well prepared, among the best we ever had. My wife had the steamed salmon and I had a tuna special... More

The Lobster Udu was excellent. After needing a decent meal at fire island my wife and I decided to try it and were very pleased. For an app we got the baked clams with bacon, another excellent dish. The view is great as well.
