Amazing

I visited a friend in Nyack for 3 nights...2 of which we ate here. It is truly a mouthwatering experience. The chef is wonderful, the service great, the food is spectacular. I live in MN and truly I want to go back just for the food here (along with the same company). Oh, we even had lunch here... read more

The tapas at Alains are an elevated take on basque region classic small dishes and tapas. Go for the octopus, paired with any of their great wines...and great service.

My husband and I drove to Nyack unsure of which restaurant we would end up for our date night. We had not been to Alain's yet and decided to try it We were seated without a reservation at about 8 PM. The decor is cozy, warm and pleasant. It's a very small place, and a bit tight, but the atmosphere... More

The food here was great. The goat cheese appetizer delightful, mussels very tender with great sauce, and the creme brûlée was delicious! I will definitely be back!

If you want excellent French food in a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere - Alain's is for you. We've been here quite a few times and have never been disappointed. Alain, himself, greets you, chats with you and during the meal will check to see that you are happy. During this visit there were four of us and we had a chicken... More

A little bit out of the way and worth the trip to find this French restaurant reminds me of a local bistro in the French countryside. The chef is friendly and is always around greeting you in a warm and friendly manner. We were seated right away and were lucky to have his son as a waiter. The menu has... More

Went to Alain's to celebrate my anniversary and was very happy with what I saw. This small bistro is tucked away in a small strip mall, but the staff and food make it a must stop. We went on a Thursday night, so there were not many guests dining. Alain greets you personally and the staff is very attentive. They... More

Went with friends for dinner. The Martini's are a rare treat. Dinner as always was excellent. The shell steak done perfectly, the soft shell crabs over interesting vegetables, the sweetbreads were an unusual treat and the rack if lamb tender and juicy. The service is alway wonderful and we go for special occasions Always excellent

We went to this restaurant because it was the only French Restaurant open on a Sunday and found the food, service and ambiance to be terrific. We just went back and again, found it to be an excellent choice... It's not exactly close to our house, about an hour away, but worth the trip.

Three of us dined on a busy Saturday night and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. From the steak tartare to the sweetbreads to the pate all were well well satisfied with a meal in Nyack that you can only find at Alain's. Service was excellent and even fun!
