Not a bit modern or new age! A bit like the old TV show, "Cheers".....a family-owned place with many regulars. Steady, long-time customers have been coming in for generations. A packed-on-weekends bar scene of not just 20-somethings...a real mix. Good, standard pub food. Live music very often. The... read more

Hadn't been to O'Donoghue's, or Nyack for that matter, in nearly ten years. I was a little hesitant... wondered how much this quaint little Hudson River town had held up over the years, and how well the good folks at O'Donoghue's had fared. While the town is seeing the effects of a tough economy, O'Donoghue's is like stepping back in... More

I love this place and all the great appy's that they offer at affordable prices. The food here is home cooked and the parking is easy. You'll love all the great socialness of the place and the large assortment of beers from all around the world. Famous celebreties come here. Need I say more.

Last Sunday was one of Nyack's street fairs. Afterwards we chose O'Donoghue's for our meal. O'Donoghue's is dominated be a large bar with seating along the side and rear. Our drink orders were a bit slow as the bar was under staffed. When they came the drinks were great but be prepared to spend $12.75 for a top shelf margaritta.... More

My friend and I decided to stop in O'Donoghue's Tavern during our St. Patrick's Day celebrations, as we had just moved to Nyack, and had been thoroughly enjoying some of the nightlife the town has to offer. We thought an Irish bar seemed like the perfect atmosphere in which to experience St. Patrick's Day. However, we quickly discovered that O'Donoghue's... More

Good grub and a nice selection of beer. Don't order a salad unless you want something that is wet, tasteless and totally uninspired. But then again, why on earth would you order a salad at an Irish-themed pub? Get a burger and a beer (forget the fries, really) or a daily special and just enjoy it for what it is.... More

I've been dining at OD's for over a decade. This pub is a home-away-from-home; very comfy and laid back. I get the veggie burger every time; it never gets old. The burger itself is a house-made, vegan, lentil patty, but I get it topped with cheddar cheese, and it comes on a quality ciabatta roll. If you're vegan, ask them... More

The homemade corned beef is to die for. Deserts are all also homemade and amazing. Don't miss on this hidden gem.

Our very own Cheers in Nyack. The food is great and while one might expect good pub food, they also have quite an eclectic menu.

The service was friendly and fast. We liked the menu and found choices beyond the usual "bar fare" to make each person in our party happy. I here that it gets louder in the evening, but lunch was fun, fast, and friendly with tasty food.
