In 2011, the creators of Koukoumavlos Restaurant in Fira and Nichteri Restaurant in Kamari, joined their forces. ASSYRTICO Wine Restaurant was born on the top floor of a 60’s mansion in Fira, overlooking the famous Caldera. The menu offers alternative and innovative suggestions of the Greek Cuisine, using mainly local and selected products from around Greece. The same philosophy inspired the restaurant’s wine list. A wide variety of wines from Santorini, the rest of Greece and the whole world can be explored in Assyrtico’s unique Wine Cellar!

Fine dining with a view

Most restuarants in Santorini, in my opinion, tended to serve similar dishes throughout; however, this restaurant really brakes the mould. It has really nice traditional dishes but with a twist. This restaurant has a beautiful location and terrace with a wonderful view of the sunset in Santorini. The food is outstanding especially the risotto and Greek cheese specially.

Went to this restaurant on the basis of a review in a well known travel book. We started with the mixed dips with pitta bread. They were about half the size and three times the price of similar dips in Hania, Crete. The two pasta dishes ordered were very ordinary and well overpriced. We decided to cut our losses, pay... My husband had planned a fancy dinner at some lavish place on the island, rated #1 through many different food reviews. We reconfirmed with the staff at our hotel and they said it was over-rated and over-priced (what isn't in Santorini? LOL!), we asked for suggestions and immediately they mentioned Assyrtico. Apparently Justin Bieber had stated at one of their... More

Beautiful sunset view if you eat at the balcony. Friendly staff. We ate a pasta (weird taste...) and a burger (bad quality meat) - the worst meal we had in Santorini! and the most expensive!

Literally, we were there in October when the wind was raging. We enjoyed a warm and welcoming meal at Assyrtico. The service was very good as was the food, and an excellent bottle of wine was recommended for an accompaniment.

Very helpful, welcoming staff, a nicely balanced menu and a great location. You can't really go wrong here, very accomplished food and service, we had a lovely evening. The waiter very kindly helped us up the stairs with our buggy and baby too. Thank you!

This 1st floor restaurant centrally located in Fira offers one of the best views of the caldera. Great service and food choice offerings with very reasonable cost considering the location. Bread, appetiser and 2 main plates , lovely bottle of local wine cost 90euro. The restaurant is extremely clean and in near new condition. I'm aware you go to a... More

A storm was coming in tonight so we did not eat outside however the food and service were fantastic. They tend more with the fresh, local and yummy options. We shared the Assyrtico salad which was delicious. The mousse was nice and smooth for desert. The prices are a little high but I know that part of their bailout involved... More
