4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014 NEW

Came here two times: last year and this July during my stay on Santorini. I red about this restaurant in Food & Wine Magazine and was not disappointed. This is one of the newer restaurants in Fira. Both times I really loved the meal. Especially memorable was technique in preparation of fava – unexpected orange flavor and fresh topping of... More

Very friendly and attentive service, more classy than the usual Greek restaurant. The cuisine is also a tad more creative. We had excellent appetizers (that pushed the bill), and we opted for a modern style hamburger on pita bread and with home made ketchup. Very tasty. Excellent choices of wine, including a very good, fresh and vibrant local bubbly made... More

I visited this restaurant with my wife for dinner. Although this restaurant has a good reputation for the view of the sunset, the time we visited was around 21:30, and we could focus on enjoying the meals and the wine of the assyrtico. Each of us ordered 2 meals, and I loved the pasta with fish (salmon) egg. The sauce... More

We chose Assyrtico for our wedding reception this June. They made our choise worth every penny. The food was amasing. The menu purely greek with a modern concept was perfectly delivered by the kitchen staff. Lia the restaurant manager, was extremely helpful not only regarding the menu selection, but also for the choise of wines that accompanied our dinner. Furthermore,the... More

We were visiting Fira and dropped in for some lunch. It was very very good. Our food was elegantly presented with some really interesting flavors that took local cuisine to a new level. Our server was attentive and helpful in our food selection. The friend zucchini and pastas were excellent. If we had been closer to Fira, I think we... More

This was one of the dearest dining spots we tried this June. But we knew it wasnt cheap - and deliberately picked it for our last night this time round. It was approximately €50 euros per head. Pros: fabulous views (more so, the more south you sit on their first floor balcony), a more imaginative menu than most, very very... More

Assyrtico offers great views, attentive service, and exceptional food. Given the upscale environment, the friendly staff offered excellent recommendations for our meal. The balcony offers a beautiful view of the caldera and of the main street in Fira. The salmon we had here was some of the best we have ever had! Make sure to also try the Yellow Donkey... More

Assyrtico was recommended to us so we booked sight unseen. It proved to be an excellent choice. Great service, very nice food ( I recommend the lamb !), a large choice of local & Greek wines, and a view of get Culdera from our balcony seats. A great night all round. Happy to recommend Assyrtico to all.

Choosen as a restaurent with modern Greek fare our taste buds were delighted and amazed. Although only after a light lunch we couldn't reist the local fare and new tastes and shared several starters and mains each. We took the reccommended lcal wines and enjoyed them all. We had children with us and these were also catered for. A real... More

Went there on a friend's recommendation. The menu description were attempting at the entrance of the restaurant. Though the bread was bland but the starters and appetisers (such as grilled white eggplant, saganaki, salad, fava beans) were good and we were all looking forward to our main course. We ordered pork, lamb shank and pasta to share. What's a disappointment!... More
