Description: In 2011, the creators of Koukoumavlos Restaurant in Fira and Nichteri Restaurant in Kamari, joined their forces. ASSYRTICO Wine Restaurant was born on the top floor of a 60’s mansion in Fira, overlooking the famous Caldera. The menu offers alternative and innovative suggestions of the Greek Cuisine, using mainly local and selected products from around Greece. The same philosophy inspired the restaurant’s wine list. A wide variety of wines from Santorini, the rest of Greece and the whole world can be explored in Assyrtico’s unique Wine Cellar!

An excellent recommendation from our hotel staff, so good we dined here twice during our week in Santorini. Fantastic menu, with fine dining twists on delicious local dishes (fava beans so good we had them twice!), and fabulous local wines. The staff were absolutely fantastic - despite us visiting at the end of a long and busy season, where staff... More

Wanted to sit inside because the weather was a little chilly. We had such a great meal. The servings a large, like all of Greece, so I split a beef and Carmelites onion dish with my frien, yummy. Good wine selection and nice atmosphere.

Went here twice during our week in Fira. Trendy decor and very interesting food. There are good views over the caldera. Menu is lovely and unusual but really nice. Thoroughly enjoyed our two evenings here.

We found Assyrtico on our last night after four meals ranging from mediocre to dreadful it was so refreshing to eat here. We had four different starters and each was lovely, including the fritters Three of us choose the Greek style burger - it was lovely and the home made tomato sauce was amazing and the fourth person had a... Just plain disappointing, the Zucchini fritters were terrible. Bland, hard, and not what I think of when I see them on a menu. We were hungry and needed a place to eat quick. Now I know why it was empty.

This is a lovely place to eat in Santorini. Although we visited mid October when it is a lot quieter and cooler it was still very good food served quickly as well. The staff were all very laid back but service was very good. It is worth noting that the Santorini waiters are all very relaxed and laid back, so... More

I haven't understood why Oia is famous for its sunset views. You don't get to see the setting sun from most of Oia as it faces south rather than the west. The best place in Santorini to watch the sunset is the promenade in Fira that starts from Hotel Atlantis and goes in the direction of the twin town of... More

We stumbled on this restaurant courtesy of "Norman the Greek" who owns a quality jewellery shop nearby. His recommendation proved inspirational. We sat outside on a lovely upstairs terrace overlooking the bay and the Caldera as the famous sunset drew near . Excellent varied menu and wine list . As I am not familiar with Santorini wines the waitress chose... More

My wife and I went to Assyrtico without making a reservation, but were offered an excellent table with a wonderful view of the Caldera. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in choosing which wine to accompany dishes. We went back for a further two more evenings, the food was as good as the service. The rib-eye steak cooked in... On our last night in Santorini we had booked a restaurant across the island, but did not want to make the trek. We asked our lovely hotel manager about places nearby, and he recommended Assyrtico. After eating an abundance of Greek food (this was our 11th day in Greece) we were pleased to see a few traditional items with a... More
