The owner is a hoot. The best vegies we have had in many months of travel. The main meat dishes were a bit disappointing. Flavors were not there

As many of the reviews attest to this place is indeed authentic & friendly and very well priced especially for its location. It is family run and the food is truly magnificent. Don't think about step in and try some great Greek food; the moussaka, stuffed zucchini, tomatoes & capsicum were great and the fava beans second to none.

A down to earth, authentic experience. Food was delicious and service was friendly. Worth giving up the views for a meal inside.

Among what seems like a sea of touristy, mediocre places - this was a true small authentic gem. It's a must try, for anyone walking around blinded by restaurants everywhere and owners begging you to come in. It's small, so make a reservation or stop by early and put your name in. Whatever the waiters recommended was delicious, so take... More

As you can gather from the reviews, there are hundreds of places to eat in Fira and Santorini. A lot of them are very cool (St. Nicholas Cave restaurant, on the way to the Red Beach, to mention only one), but in Fira, this is the one place you will see a line out of the door and where you... More

With the multitude of touristy places offering food in central Thira, it is rather hard to pick something that would be more or less authentic, but we think that Nikolas might be as close as you can get. A very vibrant and popular place, this restaurant offers quick and informal service, but fantastic local dishes. Among other things, the white... More

We had a really great lunch at Nikolas while shopping and seeing the sites in Fira; so good we tried to go back for dinner but got there too late (after tourist season) and they were closed for the evening. Freshly prepared great home cooking amazing Roast Lamb and Mousaka.

First, the food ... it was delicious. We tried different Greek dishes and they were all exceptional. The ambience is great. The restaurant is cozy, traditional and artfully decorated. And if that isn't enough, then there's the owners and staff. They were welcoming, grateful you came to their restaurant to eat and so much fun. Everytime we left there, and... More

I had lunch at nikolas on my second last day in Fira, wow! Simple, fresh and home cooked style meal. I had eggplant (white famous in santorini) with tomato with local white wine! All for 12€ Simply delish!! No frills, no fuss service and good authentic Greek food. Expect no views of sunset or the caldera. Very close to the... More
