Great location and good food, be careful with the bill!

I went there early April and was swept away by one of waiters who gets the clients in as soon as they arrive in AMmoudi... But On the whole I think all the restaurants on the little port have the same offers. I had really nice king prawns and some salads, the aubergine one is to die for! However... read more

We ate here in October 2014. Our decision to eat here was based upon Tripadvisor reviews. Picking your own fish from a limited selection in a small glass cased fridge is not at all that exciting. Without going into detail the food was uninspiring and of very average quality. Its a tourist joint and they are waiting for someone just... More

One of our favourite things when visiting Oia is going to Taverna Katina. Its worth walking down the 200 steps plus down the side of the Caldera and the donkeys at the bottom scaring me to death. It makes it more exciting because at the bottom is the most beautiful setting. A row of 3 fish reataurants close to the... More

Just so you know greek lobster is different then the common one. This one has no claws and the taste is two times stronger then the normal one. A good 100 euros for two people, but it is sth to remember. Plus you have the sunset and the volcano. Come on guys, you will not find better then this. It... More

What a beautiful setting. Sitting right by the sea, surrounded by the caldera cliffs. The three of us took a taxi down for a long leisurely lunch. Staff was very friendly and let us pick out our sea bream that was simply grilled to perfection. Great house wine.

Ask the Greeks to prepare for you an octopus on the grill and you will find out what you have missed on your trip around Sicily :) Honestly Greeks know how to do it and in Katina they are no exception. Squid, Octopus and catch of the day - all was fresh, juicy, and reasonably priced, especially considering where that... More

If you like fresh fish and seafood you definitely need to visit it!! If you expect to find gourmet cuisine it's not the place for you. Katina is a traditional Greek tavern. All the dishes I had were delicious. We ordered the lobster spaghetti, which I highly recommend, fresh red mullets, grilled royal shrimps and the biggest mussels I ever... More

We don't know why this restaurant has high reviews. Grilled fish was extremely dry, like it was microwaved instead of grilled. Giant shrimps were also dry. Had several grilled fish and shrimps all our lives and in other restaurants in Santorini and nothing tasted like it. Plus this is the most expensive grilled fish I've tried in the Island so... More

I like, simple, fresh and tasty seafood. The seafood should do the talking and here that is the case. We had a warm seafood salad to start, some grilled octopus and some grilled prawns and the tastes were incredible. The best octipus I have eaten in my life and I have tried many times from many different places. Annoyingly, we... More
