Lovely menu in this family restaurant

Menu looked good when we walked past and our hotel also recommended so called in for a lovely evening meal. Starters of mushrooms for hubby and king prawns for me, both very good. Mains of pork with apricots and prunes and fish special of dourada and again enjoyed. Pork dish very rich and... read more

This restaurant was really delicious. The owner and his mother work there with I think one other employee. The service was excellent. The owner waited on us and gave us wonderful recommendations. We all had different selections and each of us loved the entrees we chose. The baklava and chocolate lava cake were exceptional. We ended up eating there several... More

We should have enjoyed this more as the lamb shank was excellent although the idea of a pork fillet was lost in translation. But there was only one other table of customers and this was clearly a dampener for the restaurant with many tables set in anticipation of a fine evening. Service was excellent when we arrived but faded and... More

Having been recommended by a friend staying on the island for 4 months we decided to go here to celebrate my 40th. Without going into too much detail this is a good restaurant in terms of food and decor, however, is owned/run by an absolute psychopath who felt it right to sarcastically proposition a sexual act to fulfil the night's... My husband and I have been travelling in Greece with our adult daughter for two weeks. We've eaten all meals in restaurants and they have generally been pretty good. But this was the first restaurant that had really classy food. We knew nothing about it. I just liked the look of it. White table cloths always draw me in. Unfortunately... More

I found this restaurant while discovering Oia with my family, and felt in love with it at first eyesight. One of the owners who was serving us, was very friendly and knew how to sell, advising on dishes and saying that everything was fresh and that he ate what customers eat. All was well until I complained about my Lamb,... More

If you are anywhere on the island you must try Kandouni (also known as Candouni). It is a friendly, family-owned restaurant tucked away in the side streets in Oia. I would recommend watching the sunset and then head to dinner. We tried other sunset view restaurants and they did not compare. After the first night of dining at Kandouni we... More

We had lunch at Candouni Restaurant after walking past several appealing restaurants in Oia. Candouni had a nice patio presentation and a differentiated menu posted outside. The deco and arrangements proportioned us a cozy lunch experience. Food was great with a clear identity with balanced seasoning and spices, while keeping the Greek cuisine tradition. Service was superb and price aligned... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel for an authentic Greek Easter Experience . When we arrived at 8pm we were very surprised to find only 2 tables occupied , and despite the welcoming proprietor were disappointed having paid a €35 taxi fare to get there and back . In the hope that the food would make up for... More

the fist view, we arrived for our Easter dinner for the set menu for that day, at fist everything looked good, but then the staff started fighting and they all seemed lost and panicked, we thought the were on their fist year running so we felt sorry for them, later we found out they have been running it for 14...
