Our dinner at 1800 was easily one of the top 10 meals I have ever had in a restaurant! The lamb filet with feta mousse was wonderful. The service was good - typical of a higher-end restaurant. The terrace was a welcome escape from the busy streets of Oia.

The view was not perfect as you could not see all the to the west clearly, but it was beautiful nonetheless. The food was excellent - I had what may be the best lamb I've ever tasted - and served in portions that we're filling but not overwhelming. We heard many complaints about the service, but it was not horrible... More

This was a major disappointment, it was far from the fine dinning we were expecting. First off, I would like to say that the food was excellent; my wife complained that her's was a little salty, but I had no such problem. The presentation was a little pretentious, (we were given pipets of dressing to squirt on the greens under... More

Great food, has been one of our best meals of our trip. Great wine, starters, mains and dessert! Only minor set back is the sun setting just behind another building.

We had read about 1800 in Lonely Planet & other websites that said it had great food. We ended up walking in to make a booking for later in the evening. The staff at the restaurant kept trying to say that the rooftop was full and that we should have dinner on the ground floor. They finally agreed for a... More

The food was delicious. By husband had the tasting menu - onion feta soup, bean salad, fish plate and finished with lamb. Very generous portions. I had lentil salad and sea bass. Both perfect. Service wonderful. View lovely. Best meal to date. A bit pricey.

We did not have a reservation, however, we were given a great table on the first floor. Service was excellent, elegant and non intrusive. Food had a beautiful presentation, temperature was precise, texture was in synch with plates and all our choices were delicious. We had a wonderful experience and we will go back if given the opportunity.

We went to 1800 because of our Lonely Planet Guide that mentioned the restaurant in their 'Meals of a lifetime' section. We booked a table inside initially as there were no spaces left on the rooftop terrace, but we could eat on the roof garden at the end as there was a cancellation. We both took the fish tasting menu... More

Restaurant 1800 had the best meal. Had not made a reservation but were welcomed very professionally, and taken to the roof top setting. There were four of us so a table had to be set up, this was completed very quickly without fuss. We had a perfect view of the sunset even though the rooftop was nearly full. I had... More

Having made a reservation for 7pm, we arrived on time and were shown to the roof top terrace but the view of the panama of the sea from our table was obscured by a building in front of the restaurant so we asked if we could sit at another of the free tables without the problem but we were told...
