Awesome sunset views

Thanks to Panos at Oia's Sunset where we were staying who recommended Ochre, we spent our first evening in Oia at Ochre enjoying the sunset and a delicious dinner. Not sure why anyone would be jammed standing in the crowds trying to catch a glimpse of the sunset when you could be seated at a lovely... read more

We went here for dinner and a sunset view on sat 7/25. The staff wasn't particularly friendly. When we told them it was our honeymoon they said "everyone is here on honeymoon". Ok, not that bad, but the little things add up. I was really excited that they offered a hummus and pita appetizer but the portion of hummus was... More

Not usually one to complain but after being seated and ordering drinks and 1 appetizer. On service of the appetizer and further ordering of another appetizer and a salad we were told that there is a minimum order of 2 appetizers and 2 mains for 2 people. Upon asking isn't 3 dishes enough we were rudely told "no that's not... More

The view is unbelievable no matter where you are sitting. Some people can be ridiculously petty about such things. You do not have to be 'at the front'. We sat at a side table and saw an amazing sunset. The ambiance is great. They have a small band playing live acoustics which makes for a lovely experience. I was with... More

Lousy experience - received an apology from the owner - hope it was just a lousy night - view of the sunset is awesome - the food was good - but the waiter was rude - the owner took responsibility and one hopes that it was addressed as he said it would be -

As our concierge said - this is by far the best view for dinner in Oia and I could not agree more. A couple of tables close to us - stayed for drinks and appetizers then left after sunset - if you are not thrilled with the food options - I think that is a great approach. No matter what... More

Reviews about this place are mixed. I was a little bit afraid but we came anyway. A big group of 8 and we made a reservation way in advance. They gave us a wonderful table with amazing views. The menu is not extensive, it's true. But almost everything we order was good. Not amazing. But pretty good. Salad was delicious,... More

I've been to Greece 15 times and Santorini twice (my extended family lives in Athens). I had a truly phenomenal experience at ochre. Our food was excellent. I got the moussaka and my girlfriend got the fish. The fish was very fresh and the waiter did a good job cleaning it. I found the staff very attentive. Most importantly, this... More

The views are very good for sunset. Early reservations are a must...I'd get there early as they seem to seat on a first come first serve basis. The food was OK. We had the lobster spaghetti for two based on a recommendation. It was plenty of food, but it was cold and a little dry. The waiters work very hard,... More

Firstly, sunset from Oia is a cult.... there are plenty better places to watch it, but still plenty flock there to watch the sunset during dinner.... We prefer to watch the sunset then eat, which means after 9pm many of the restaurants in Oia are totally empty and the staff are already hoping to leave, so there is zero atmosphere.... More
