This place was phenomenal. Everyone flocks to the restaurants with views to watch the sunset but that's too early to eat sometimes and I don't think the food was as good. You can easily grab some beers or wine and just go to the beach or plenty of other options (parking lots or street corners) to watch and then go... More

Roka is a wonderful taverna situated in a unassuming back alley in the picturesque village of Oia in Santorini. The cuisine is traditional Greek and the various dishes are reasonably priced and very well done. I would have given Roka five stars if the staff would extend the same courtesy and welcoming gestures (such as a complimentary digestive) to visiting... More

A bit out of the way, we found our way to Roka after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. The food was reasonably priced and the beer and wine were inexpensive - a real plus! The octopus was the best I have tasted - so tender with a caramelised sauce and tasty rice on the side. When we showed interest in the... More

Roka came highly recommended by some fellow travelers that we met in Oia. Our expectations were very high. Perhaps that is why we were all disappointed. The food was just ok. The restaurant was packed and most people seemed to enjoy their meals. I was underwhelmed. The servers also took a long time to make their way to our table.

After hearing greek food is not that great for vegetarians like us, we were pleasantly surprised by our first meal in Roka. It was delicious! They had a wide variety of options for us and were very accommodating with the entire menu. Their pastas were delicious! House wine was fantastic! Great salads! Loved their location in the back alleyways of... More

Although Roka is not so easy to find, if your walking from the bus station follow the little corner path and on the right is a small ally way and its down there. It is worth finding as it is a perfect place to relax and eat well made greek food, simply done and served with a smile. We ate... More

This place was a great find.. The food was authentic and divine. My favourite dishes was the courgette tart and the aubergine.

If you want an authentic Greek experience, I can think of no better choice than Roka. From the setting to the menu, it is a typical Greek taverna. And the food is excellent. It is not easy to find, but when you get close there are signs pointing the way to the restaurant. We went for lunch and were lucky... More
