The finest taste of Normandy, hot oysters are the best! Don't pass by, and don't forget to book in advance if you're coming for dinner.

It is a cosy place with the authentic interior in marine spirit. The meal was cooked well, also nice served, the staff was quite attentive. Actually there were nothing to criticize but still... it was not the super one. Personally I would not rank this restorant as a top one in Èretat, probably it is worth finding some other places...

We were recommended Le Galion by the B and B that we were staying at just outside Etretat, we did not book and was surprised to be able to get a meal as it became clear that the restaurant was used by the locals. We had the fixed price menu which was excellent value. The tables were laid with proper...

We were at this famous restaurant before and we used to have very decent impressions about, but last time it was a huge disappointment!
First of all looks like restaurant has changed management.
Young stuff barely spoke English (in such a scale restaurant they MUST understand English!). They weren't able to proper describe anything from menu. If you are ordering...

I read about this restaurant on trip advisor. Slightly bewildered by the photo which led to us looking down various small side streets and not where it is - right in the main street next to the Salamandre restaurant.. The main restaurant was completely full so we had the last table outside (there are only 4 tables). I thought we...

We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner here, which was good from start to end. Good service and excellent food. It was a real treat and we certainly recommend this restaurant; do make a reservation though!
Efter 3 weeks in France this was one of the last restaurants we visited. We had a very good menu with some of the best dishes we have had on the entire vacation. The service was nice and friendly and there was a nice and quiet atmosphere inside the restaturant. Sure this is a great place to dine in Etretat.
I spent five weeks in France - from North to South, from West to East and ate at the restaurants of some reknown chefs, but the dinner I had at Le Galion was the best dinner of my trip--and maybe my life. I had chicken and the sauce was heavenly! Each course was superb. The service was attentive. But the...

Having suffered from a failure of the restaurant over the road (Le Bicorne) to honour our confirmed booking, we tried Le Galion on spec - and very glad that we did. Lovely bright room with natural beams, lots of maritime paintings and collections of bottles and decanters scattered around the walls.
The food was typically French in a sophisticated but...

We took the (cheapest) menu of 25 euro, but the suggestion for the main course sounded nice (lobster/fish) so that was 7 euro extra.
The service is good. The interior as well, table linen/napkins are white. As a first course we had a fish soup & 6 oysters, the dessert was a rhubarb crumble & a mixture of strawberrymousse/vanillapie. All...
