Great high Quisine

The food was great, the expected high quality for the prizes, freshly made, nice ambiente and good service, almost a bit too fast, the dishes came very fast. The wine was a bit too pricey in comparison, and it doesn't have to be in this region, there is great wine also for less. The taste... read more

What a wonderful place for seafood! Probably for other food as well, but we had seafood and it was simply delicious and mouth-watering. It got a little crowded, but that was to be expected with a quality like this. Staff was friendly and understood my poor French, and the food was superb. Prices are what you'd expect for fine French... More

The Galion is perhaps the top resto in Etretat, so said my landlord when suggesting favorite places. I found it reasonably priced compared with other establishments and the service was friendly and upscale. I had pate followed by escargot a d'ail compote (which are most highly recommended). Coming alone with no reservations I was seated at a small community table... More

Only got a table the first night because we were early, and knew enough to reserve when we wanted to return 2 nights later. Had fixed price menus both time, but different choices. LOVED the fresh oysters with camembert cheese, but enjoyed it all. Not cheap, but well worth what we paid!

After hiking the Etretat Cliffs we were pretty hungry and looking for a nice lunch place. We found Le Galion in one of the small streets and walked in. There was only one last table left, all the others were full - lucky us. The place is nicely decorated in blue and white coastal theme - very charming. The staff was... More

First the bad news, one of the most ignorant waiter come maître de that I have met, poor service. However the food is fantastic and worth the bad stuff so go and check it out, but don't tip the staff, they don't deserve it !!!!

We were a party of five and got in without reservation, very friendly staff, nice selection of food, reasonable wine by the glass. Very cosy antique interior.

The food there was really really good, the wine was expensive but delicious as well. The decor was very classy and reminded me of a calm sunny day at the sea. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. get the scallops, they're delicious and just melt in your mouth. no need to say more. Just go and eat... More

We had a good meal here at this restaurant which was recommended by our guest house. The service however was horrible. We live in France so we understand that the service is typically slow so you can enjoy the dining experience. However the service tonight was as if we were totally ignored. We wanted to see the sunset so we... More

We stopped in here for an evening dinner and both had to have the fish soup! Excellent. Then we had veal kidneys cooked to perfection in a delicious sauce, accompanied by a very drinkable red wine. The service was brisk and attentive but not overbearing. The surroundings are tasteful, unpretentious and comfortable. All in all, a very pleasant evening which... More
