Good food. Good wine. Good service.

We stopped in here for an evening dinner and both had to have the fish soup! Excellent. Then we had veal kidneys cooked to perfection in a delicious sauce, accompanied by a very drinkable red wine. The service was brisk and attentive but not overbearing. The surroundings are tasteful, unpretentious... read more

The food there was really really good, the wine was expensive but delicious as well. The decor was very classy and reminded me of a calm sunny day at the sea. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and helpful. get the scallops, they're delicious and just melt in your mouth. no need to say more. Just go and eat... More

We had a good meal here at this restaurant which was recommended by our guest house. The service however was horrible. We live in France so we understand that the service is typically slow so you can enjoy the dining experience. However the service tonight was as if we were totally ignored. We wanted to see the sunset so we... More

One reason why we like Le Galion is because it is next door to our apartment in this lovely Normandy coastal town. However, that reason won't apply to most people, so I'll mention some of the others. One is their really interesting menu - large enough to offer variety, but small enough to let you know that it's all freshly... More

This was possibly the best dinner we had during a 2 week holiday in France. The prices are reasonable, the food delicious and the service friendly and timely. It's a proper French restaurant used by locals and not a tourist trap.

We arrived the restaurant was full but there were 4 tables outside a young couple at one and one was reserved the menu came fairly quick however the young lady plonked them down and vanished after 20 min I said we should leave because nobody came to take the order but the wife said the young lady was on her... The food is carefully and skillfully prepared. Our escargots were the best we've ever had. Yes, it's a classic dish, but to make it better is an accomplishment. Main courses were navarin de poisson and ris de veau. Both were delicately flavored and scrumptious. Moelleux chocolat was heavenly. Service was superb. This was the best of our three dinners in... A really nice meal with a lovely sense of care about the food. We had the 25 euro set menu ( 2 courses) Fresh fish. Lovely service. Great ambience. Felt well looked after. Classic hospitality. Highly recommended. No children's menu on paper (but we don't mind this - we like our girls to eat 'grown up' food - they offered... More

the 'little' menu was great. no one said anything about not ordering a more expensive menu. the food and service were excellent. you might have to reserve for the evening or perhaps eat on the terrace.

Delicious food, cosy interiors and good wine list. We went there around 9pm on a friday night and the service was very good. The chocolate mousse , if you like dark chocolate is a must. It's a bit on the pricey side for Etretat , but definitely worth the money, especially if you go for one of their menu options.
