Nice old house but food is bad

We got there just before the crowd piled in, so service was good and fast, but the food is disastrous. They ran out of pasta at noon. Strange. Then the fries were totally soggy. And most dishes were practically unsalted. The Fish Duo menu is about the only good dish. Price for 4 was about 90... read more

We went to la salamandre for lunch on a day trip to etratat. The outside of the building looked appealing and the lunch menu looked good and resonably priced. We went in, got a table in th eback room quite quiet and we had to wait forever, for the menu for the order to be taken for the food to... More

Lovely ambiance. Nice waiters. Crowded in the weekends Which influences the level of service. Interesting children's menu with oysters. Food not really of high standard. But nevertheless great place for a night out.

This was one of the only few restaurants open on a Sunday evening. If your expectations are low, you might not be bothered with the poor food quality. Moules-frites, 2/10. Chevre-chaude 2/10. Service was a bit sloppy, forgetting to chill the rose-wine, the desert and oil/mayo/asking if things were nice. Toilets were not clean either, haven't seen the kitchen. There... More

We looked around during the day to book dinner for later and walked into Tavern deux augustin which was very hectic. I asked to book for the evening and was told "non". The menu was basic - pizzas, steak etc and wanted to go somewhere else. Noticed the La Salamndre restuarant looked very interesting! La Salamandre was busy too but... More

In a typical nice local house the food is not bad but it not good too. The service is very long but at least waiters smile. Next time in Etretat we will try another restaurant.

I had a tomato chevre salad, grilled tuna, and profiterole; service was excellent, except when I wanted l'addition so I could pay and leave; the salad was a 5, the tuna a 4, and the profiterole a 7. Strange that its so expensive in such a modest hotel

As the first 4 restaurants on the TA list in Etretat were closed we chose this one as the menu looked quite nice although a bit pricey. We waited a little while to be served but once the food was there it was definitely worth the wait & the price. The fish & the wine were organic, served with tasty... More
