The food here is among the best in the valley, and the ambiance is very nice, but you get what you pay for. An extraordinarily delicious dinner for two, with wine, can easily cost $250-$300 but it's worth it. The Osso buco here is among the best I've ever had. Other favorites: truffle pasta, rack of lamb and just about... More

Four of us decided to make Il Cena'Colo our restaurant of choice during Hudson Valley Restaurant week 2015. We made the right choice for sure. From the time we entered the restaurant until we left our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers were Stuffed Mushrooms and Octopus Salad. The entrees we selected were Grilled Salmon, Ossobuco, Red Snapper and... More

Sali and his staff are exceptional in their service and Italian cuisine. The 'regular' menu has a lot of choices, but bring a pad and pen, so the staff can tell about the listing of appetizers and entrees, there are a LOT!! Best Oso Bucco I've ever had.

This restaurant used to be a favorite of ours for many years. The past few years we stopped going due to their annoying specials, literally the wait staff would read off 40 plus specials, like you could remember them all, we would sit there for a good 7-10 minutes listening and getting uncomfortable. But the food was good so we... More

We went here for our 30th anniversary. it was a Monday night, so we thought the restaurant would be empty. There were actually quite a few tables occupied though there was only one waitress. She was incredible! She spent time at every table going over one of the most extensive lists of specials for the night that I have ever... More

This place is absolutely great. Best antipasti selections I've ever seen. Including in Italy. We told the waiter to make us a plate and take care of us and boy did he ever. Generous portions, great wine by the glass, relaxed quiet environs. This place is wonderful. Wish we had more reason to be in that part of the country.... More

I read a review about this restaurant and agreed with it. I am not a fan of a restaurant that does not honor their reservations. That was several years ago. I decided to give it another try and happy that I did. My guest and myself were seated upon our arrival (with reservations made). As we were there early, before... More

We used to visit this restaurant frequently before their sister restaurant, Cena 2000, opened on the Newburgh waterfront. We stopped going to Cena 2000 because the service was inconsistent, there was always a 20 to 30 minute wait even with a reservation and they ran out of a lot of their specials by 7:00 on a Saturday night! Based on... More

Caponata and crunchy Italian bread to start, as a very large, very tasty amuse bouche (or however you say it in Italian). Sizeable list of wonderful appetizers from octopus salad to smoked trout -- all perfectly prepared. Four guests, all delighted with veal shoulder, linguini Bolognese, rigatoni with hot and sweet sausage. Gelato, flourless chocolate torte, coffee. Some noise, but... More
