It's restaurant week in the Hudson Valley and we chose to eat lunch at Il Cena'Colo in Newburgh, NY. For $20.95, there is a choice of an appetizer, main course and dessert. I have been to the restaurant a few times always with gift certificate. The food is good but the restaurant is overly impressed with itself to the point of being pompous. The have a menu but then have a list of specials longer than menu almost always the same!? There are many restaurants with better ambiance and as good food... More

As Newburgh residents, Il Cena'Colo has been our go-to special dinner spot for a decade. It's pricey, but absolutely worth it. Amazing Italian food and always an extensive list of daily specials on the menu. Truly a gem.

This "underground" northern Italian restaurant has withstood everything to still be around.....always an expensive joint they know how to produce some wonderful dishes. Bring some extra cash with you because once you're through with dinner you will have sticker shock. is it worth it...I guess it's personal preference but I feel if you have a special occasion this would fill... My husband and I went here for our first anniversary. We drive by it every day and always wondered whats inside. The resteraunt has a very lack luster exterior and theres hardly ever any cars in the parking lot. We walked in the resteraunt and were quickly transported to a old italian wine cellar. It is dimly lit, warm and... More

We can never say enough about this place. It rates among the absolute best among the many places we have experienced. If you are looking for extraordinary Northern Italian with a twist this is your place. Remember that you pay for what you get and in this case the fare is well worth the cost/

After a long day of visiting the Hudson Valley sites, we were ready for a great meal. When we got to Cenà'Colo we were promptly disappointed by the owner's unfriendly welcome. He questioned our reservation, and to prove it, I had to show my phone records. The dining room was cavernously dark, and the tables didn't have individual lamps or... More

The food here is among the best in the valley, and the ambiance is very nice, but you get what you pay for. An extraordinarily delicious dinner for two, with wine, can easily cost $250-$300 but it's worth it. The Osso buco here is among the best I've ever had. Other favorites: truffle pasta, rack of lamb and just about... More

Four of us decided to make Il Cena'Colo our restaurant of choice during Hudson Valley Restaurant week 2015. We made the right choice for sure. From the time we entered the restaurant until we left our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our appetizers were Stuffed Mushrooms and Octopus Salad. The entrees we selected were Grilled Salmon, Ossobuco, Red Snapper and... More
