Description: Family owned since 1990, Machu Picchu Peruvian Restaurant opened it’s doors to invite their community to experience the culinary richness of Peru. Today our menu reflects the fusion of styles and tastes that Peru is so famously known for. We pride ourselves in preparing all of our plates with the freshest ingredients in our contemporary and time-honored dishes. The imported mahogany and cultured stone design of the restaurant provides a warm ambiance for your dining experience, along with the décor which has been all crafted by Peruvian artisans and displayed to evoke an inviting and rustic feel for our customers. We also offer a full bar that is stocked with top shelf liquor as well as domestic and imported Peruvian beers. Come try our Pisco Sour – a classic Peruvian cocktail – which has said to be the best in Hudson Valley!

Nice atmosphere, good Ceviche and chicken. Even though this restaurant is tucked away in the heart of Newburgh, it was worth the hard to find Peruvian food in the hudson valley area. The restaurant has a beautiful bar area for evenings and the staff was very pleasant.

One of the best restaurants in the area. I have the steak with the spicy rub. Really good meat, although watch out for the portion size - it's massive! In terms of deserts, the Tres Leches cake is to die for. We will go back again.

We were on a long road trip traveling on I-84 and decided to stop in Newburgh for lunch. We searched online and found this place. What a great find. The neighborhood didn't look like there would be any nice restaurants and the exterior of this restaurant was nothing to speak of. But the moment we walked in, we were impressed... More

Appetizer we got the papa la huanciana. The sauce was bland and there were only 3 pieces of potato. We ordered the cabrito a la nortena (lamb with beans and rice). Small portion of lamb- 4 pieces. Tasty but too small for price. We ordered the beef with green spaghetti. 4 Pieces of beef? Ridiculous for the price. Way overpriced.

Our Mexican server was really kind, friendly and patient. We enjoyed his bantering and thorough knowledge of the menu. On a Monday night, we were one of two tables. As that table left, another came in. It was S L O W. The fried plantains were outstanding.. That was it. Otherwise disappointing.

This Peruvian restaurant piqued our interest with it's unique menu. It's sooo good! I had the lamb and husband and the flank steak. The seasoning was wonderful. I recommend the cilantro rice option. Staff was very eager to please and accommodating. Restaurant in located in a lower income neighborhood which may turn some people off but it's safe. Street meter... More

We have been to other Peruvian restaurants (in the area and in DC) so we were able to compare. We were a bit disappointed because of the quality of the entrees. All of us had order entrees with chicken or lamb. While the food was tasty and well seasoned, our entrees came will very few pieces of meat; the chicken... More

We spent the day on the Hudson, and in Newburgh and Beacon, and was looking for a nice dinner on a Sunday Night. Machu Picchu delivered! We made reservations in advance, but they weren't needed, as the restaurant has plenty of tables in a nicely decorated dining room and it wasn't packed during prime dinner time. However, this may not... More

Been here 5 times already, I never thought they'd be listed on this site since it's a small restaurant. Anyways, the food is delicious, I always order the ceviche mixto for $14.95. I have tried every ceviche and this one is my favorite. I don't eat at other resto here in Broadway St. but this was recommended to me by... More
