Very enjoyable and delicious food

Wonderful menu too many delicious items to choose from. When we finally decided my husband ended up with the ox tail our daughter had the red snapper and I enjoyed the fish paella. This way we all got to sample. Too bad we are from out of state or we would come here often. We were just leaving when... read more

Don Coqui is a fun place to meet friends and unwind after work. It's also a great place to celebrate. I particularly like to sit at the bar, especially during Happy Hour, and enjoy an appetizer or a full meal. The bartenders are great. The food is very good and plentiful. You won't be disappointed.

After having an unpleasant experience at Don Coqui in Astoria I was reluctant to go to the New Rochelle DC but my co-workers assured me that she visited both and the New Rochelle location was better. We arrived and was greeted and seated quickly. The place was big and airy with large windows with a beautiful view of the bay.... More

Visited the City Island/Bronx location to celebrate a graduation. Arrived to find out it karaoke night! Impressive decor, great sunset views on the sound, energetic and amongst the staff good vocal talent at this location. Can get a little loud with all the birthday celebration, etc - party over here!!! Ordered the family style menu for 10+ guests, amazing selection... More

Have been twice once in New Ro and once in White Plains, loved the skirt steak, balance of the food was ok to good but both times left with a headache. Music is so loud that you have to almost shout to speak to the others and very difficult to hear them. Drinks are pretty but over priced and weak.... More

my guests (10+) and I had dinner there on a Friday night at 8PM. Although the music was good, it was a little too loud for the older (2) guests that were with me. The rest of us thought it was fine. We ordered from the party menu. Everyone loved their dish. Paella, Mofongo, peril, red snapper, and all the... More

So Don Coqui has great food; Empanadas are great, you'll want to try a few, skirt steak (with or without shrimp) is fantastic, but a bit pricey for that cut of meat. Seafood soup and Paella are both excellent, and the Mofongo is also fantastic. Overall, food is great. However, the times that I've been here, the music has been... More

I absolutely love this place. As a foodie as, a grown adults, as a music lover. This place has everything. We stumbled across this restaurant during a trip to New York for a baby shower, and what a great find. The food at this place is bananas. Huge portions, cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. As a foodie , food is... More

I am Puertorican, the food in this place is an offense to Puertorican food. The food tastes like Central American food and I have nothing against their food. But if you claim to serve Puertorican food then don't ofend us who know what it is. Once you walk in even the smell is from other country. The mojito tasted like... More

I went on a Saturday evening about 9:30. I called before to make a reservation but was told reservations were not needed for a party of 2. The wait was about 10-15min. before we had a table. The place is dimly lit with tables all around. Not much space to move around. There was a DJ playing all the latest... More
