they no longer have the dollar an oyster and dollar a shrimp deal on Friday (too many takers?), they've moved it to Wednesday, where they've done away with the sliders deal. So we had two shrimp cocktails, and two glasses of wine. The bill? A WHOPPING $50. AND, guess how many shrimp (good shrimp, I have to admit) were in... More

Stopped into the Gnarly Vine in January prior to going to dinner for a friends birthday. We were a group of 5 and we had wine and a cheese & meat sampler platter. Staff was friendly & held a table for us before all of our party arrived. Service was good, and wine & food were enjoyable as well. The... More

and in the wasteland that is New Rochelle, that ain't easy. Yes, there are some excellent restaurants there, but the main street is still a ghost town. Given that, your view with a seat facing the window gives you nothing, and I do mean nothing, of interest to watch, but the food and drink here make up for it. We... More

This is a different food and wine experience than any other place here in Westchester. Definitely worth a night out. We went out looking for a place to have drinks and stumbled on the place. 3 of the 4 are wine drinkers and loved some if the wine they offered that night. I am the non wine drinker, had a... More

The wine menu is quite good and fairly (not cheaply) priced. The food is worth four stars. I went with my wife and we had four small plates, all good, some very good, and a glass of wine each. Why the one star review then? Slowwwwwwwwwwww. Unbelievably slow. It is not the waiter/waitress who you see often enough. It is... More

Oh man is it hot out. The Gnarly Vine, on the other hand, is cool as can be. Exposed brick, hardwood, sweet tunes and a really good A/C. Me and my honey were in the mood for some light food and some drinks. We have passed this place often and had heard good things. So we dressed loose and headed... More

This was a great place! My boyfriend and I stopped in one evening and were unsure of what food to order along with our wine. The waitress suggested the shrimp ceviche nachos and they were delicious! We loved them and even ordered an additional order to go! Not only was the food tasty but the staff was incredible. I left... More

Was out shopping with a friend when we wanted to stop for a cocktail and a small bite. I put that search criteria into an app on my phone and came up with this little gem. Gnarly is certainly nothing to look at on the outside. In fact I thought we might have come upon a dive bar. Never judge... More
