Disappointing wine selection, pricey tapas.

I was expecting more than a brief blackboard with a dozen (maybe less) red wine selections. We tried several bottles with a group of 10 and none were really worth seeking out again. The food was hit or miss, a $40 meat/cheese selection was alarmingly skimpy, but served with good bits of bread... read more

If you love tapas and small plates with a wonderful atmosphere, service, and people..... this will be your fav place to go. The food is fresh and excellent. There are great cheese plates, pizzas, crab.... I could go on forever. The wine selection is wonderful.... only beer and wine here - but that's all you need. This is my go... More

Gnarly Vine, sounds like something my teen son would say. I fell head over heels in love tonight! It's ok, my husband knows, he did too! How many of you remember a place on City Island in the 70s-80's called "Say Cheese", you loved it right? Well imagine that place but 10 times better, elevated to a more culinary sophisticated... We visit the vine monthly and it never fails to satisfy. Great small plates of wonderful bites. We even got a great 3 piece combo with a member of Princes team singing...awesome keyboard player on our last visit.

This place is a good find on Main Street. They have a great selection of wines - their cheese platter is delicious! They have great combinations and the staff is knowledgeable on what to pair your wine selection with. Glad my friend told me about this gem.

they no longer have the dollar an oyster and dollar a shrimp deal on Friday (too many takers?), they've moved it to Wednesday, where they've done away with the sliders deal. So we had two shrimp cocktails, and two glasses of wine. The bill? A WHOPPING $50. AND, guess how many shrimp (good shrimp, I have to admit) were in... More

Stopped into the Gnarly Vine in January prior to going to dinner for a friends birthday. We were a group of 5 and we had wine and a cheese & meat sampler platter. Staff was friendly & held a table for us before all of our party arrived. Service was good, and wine & food were enjoyable as well. The... More

and in the wasteland that is New Rochelle, that ain't easy. Yes, there are some excellent restaurants there, but the main street is still a ghost town. Given that, your view with a seat facing the window gives you nothing, and I do mean nothing, of interest to watch, but the food and drink here make up for it. We... More

This is a different food and wine experience than any other place here in Westchester. Definitely worth a night out. We went out looking for a place to have drinks and stumbled on the place. 3 of the 4 are wine drinkers and loved some if the wine they offered that night. I am the non wine drinker, had a... More
