We had lunch in the Carriage Lounge and the bartender was wonderful with recommending specialty cocktails and wonderful fries with truffle oil and parmesan. Everything in the dining room was delicious and the breakfast buffet was also very good. Enjoyed every bite we ate and didn't mind the pounds we gained!

we dined in the formal dining room Feb. 15, 2014. We were told we could use the amenities. On the phone we were told "high tea" @ 4pm. It was tea and cookies-which was nice..but very informal. The only amenities beside tea...was going outside in the snow..we were dressed formal. Dinner missed the mark. Service was slow. At times...missing. Dinner... More

My friend and I went up to Mohonk for the day. There were some final Scottish Weekend events. We also had brunch. We paid $75 (including tax and gratuity), which allowed us to go to the events, as well as have the all-you-can-eat brunch. There were numerous tasty selections for breakfast and lunch. The service was friendly, efficient, and quick.... More

Dec 30 was our last lunch there and they were hesitant is not crude about us grabbing a sandwich and hitting the road. For such a cold weekend soups were limited, cold salads in force and staff rushing to get out us out. If felt horrible for people checking in and being caught up in this. The incredible old smell... This is the place we go to on an extra-special occasion. The grounds are breathtaking, and I love to hike up to the tower. The food is amazing, too. It is delicious, and there are many vegetarian options, which is important to me. I would definitely recommend coming up here.

This was a bit of a bust. Food was very average, pricey and though the service was making a good effort, it was overall hard to be excited about. I had read so many positives that it was really hard to swallow what ahppened. Food was delivered and was cold #1. Second - it was Ciopinno on the menu, but... More

have been coming to Mohonk yearly for nearly 3 decades and its like a second home. You can choose to be as active or passive as you wish with no guilt. The additions of air conditioning and the spa and pool have only enhanced the whole Mohonk experience. I have gone many times just by myslf--very safe environment for a... More

Trip advisor asked for an update. There are so many great restaurants in the area, we don't have to return to a bad experience to give it another try. The price to park for a day pass has escalated to the point where I no longer frequent the site for climbs to the tower because we also have lots of... More

We expected a great meal and visit to this wonderful old resort. Our first problem was the $80.00/ person fee for brunch and access to the grounds. It was raining when we arrived so walking the grounds was out. Valet parking was a nightmare with people checking out, waiting for there cars, people coming in for the buffet, and all... More

Definitely not a place that I would recommend for a couple. Lots of large groups with children. Looks like a lot of family reunions. Location is great with beautiful gardens. But very expensive to just hike to the top of the hill and stroll through the gardens and we enjoyed both. But dining was very disappointing. Breakfast buffet was good,... More
