Very quaint with excellent food and good service. It is small and tucked away on Plattekill Ave but worth looking for. We were there on a Friday evening and it was full. Great for a quick drink, a cup of tea or a full meal. Organic, healthy and delicious. My go-to place when in New Paltz.

Very small place, though maybe they have seating upstairs, not sure. Ate there last night. Really nice farm raised, farm-to-table restaurant with a very enticing bakery counter with deserts that looked really fab. We heard about this from our B&B owners and it did not disappoint. The food was not fussy and felt really healthy, but delicious. The fish dishes... More

Loved having lunch at this charming restaurant. Our sandwiches were delicious. Make sure to save space for dessert--the selections are wonderful!

We had heard great things about the Village TeaRoom and Chef Agnes Devereux. We found they were all true. Chef Agnes works with many local suppliers who she lists on the menu. We had Chef Agnes's Afternoon Tea. We started with a choice of scones, there were several available. We chose a savory Cheddar and Bacon scone and a sweet... More

Have been to the Tea Room before and had good experiences. However, last week I met friends there (my suggestion) and had a terrible experience. Five of us ordered the BLT special. Only four were served, the server said nothing about the fifth order. We had to ask where it was, only to be told that they had run out... More

We went to the Village Tea Room, as per the recommendation of the hotel where we staying. My girlfriend called ahead of time and made a reservation for 6:45PM. We actually arrived early around 6:30PM and were squeezed into a small table in the back corner of the dining room, at which time they gave us dinner menus and two... More

Village TeaRoom is amazing! Their foods is absolutely delicious. Very fresh and very flavorful. The wait staff was very kind though were a little slow on service. Would definitely recommend to visit, but only if you have time to sit. Not one of those eat and get out restaurants.

Granted, we did attempt to eat near their closing time, but the waitstaff seemed nonplussed that we were there and after seating us and leaving us for a few minutes, came to tell us that most of the menu was off-limits because they were out of bread. We were actually a little relieved ourselves, because the menu was not at... More

Good place to go to share a pot of tea with a friend. Scones and muffins are good adds to the tea. Did eat lunch here once, great grilled cheese, a bit pricey for what you get. Prefer the option for breakfast. Give it a try!

Just a short walk south of Main Street on Plattekill Avenue, heading toward the College, the Village Tea Room is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch, tea, or dinner. I often, as in just about every week at least once, go first thing in the morning to buy the best scones and muffins for breakfast. There are many other bakery... More
