Great little restaurant. We were seated right away--we had gone on a Sat at 5 pm. Menu has some great stuff on it. The prices are VERY reasonable and the amount of food you get is just right. We tried the new item--Mack Truck Burger. It was a grilled cheese with a burger and mac and cheese on it!! AWESOME!!... More

Great place for a burger and the homemade Mac and cheese was a home run. Great beer selection will be back

I love the atmosphere of P&G's! It's a pub like atmosphere, very friendly, a bit noisy, but with the greatest food in town! I especially like the Seafood Broil. It consists of a nice slice of Salmon, a few shrimp and a few scallops. All of this is covered with a caper sauce that is to die for! It comes... More

Small and quaint location with much history. Bar in front with suitable seating arrangements throughout. Service was friendly, and menu offered many treats. I took chance on their burger and it was a winner. Tasty and served in a warm kaiser roll with choice of sides.

This is a comfortable, fast-paced, family run restaurant and bar with good basic food at good prices. It is in the heart of town, at the main crossroads. You'll run into your neighbors here. They make the best ribs in town and their burgers are excellent. Everything else is average but portions are generous and prices very reasonable. Family friendly... More

As a student at New Paltz in the 70's to my recent visits, this is the quintessential New Paltz hang out. When I was going to school, the highlight for P&G's were two things. $1 pitchers of beer, don't know what kind, nor did I care as it did the job, and the most amazing chili I had ever had.... More

Really funny to watch the changing of the guard after 9:00pm . Now I'm the old timer looking at the "kids" how funny! They should only know guys like us paved the way... More

It might not be the best ever in the area, but it is such an establishment that you have to check it out. Bar and Grill, expect large servings, a pub atmosphere with sports on TV and a tiny dancefloor-like area in the back. I went at night when it was snowing and it was almost empty - we made... More

I had a caesar salad which turned out to be just romaine lettuce, dressing, and croutons. I imagine the dressing was from a jar and the croutons from a box. The crab cakes were quite bland. My daughter had a soft shell crab sandwich which she liked a lot. THe service was a tad slow. The place had a fun... More

Came here on July 4th and not many other establishments in town were open...hence this was not our first choice. So with expectations low, we were very impressed with the variety on the menu, the quality of the food and the great service. Not too pricey either. I had the vegetable stir fry. Yummy!!!! And I am very fussy!
