ALWAYS A PLEASURE

One of the best things about Bacchus is that you know what you're gonna get when you walk in the door, and that's a lot. It's often a busy place but the staff is professional and keeps things moving. Insanely great beer selection and they usually have whatever of the 100 you want. Bar food is... read more

We were 14 for an early dinner on a Saturday evening after a long, 4-hour hike in the nearby Shawangunk mountains. Overall we enjoyed a relaxed and hearty dinner in the upstairs dining room at this fun, college-town establishment. Many of us ordered the burger, in various forms, and they were all devoured with relish. One of the fun aspects... More

this used to be one of my "go to places". Sadly this last visit we were given a small table squeezed in by the front door. When I asked for a booth we got one with great reluctance. We grabbed some burgers which were not great (laFrieda!) and when we said we were skipping desert the bill was on our... More

Food was surprisingly good. We had fish. Big portion, excellent spinach. However, service is slow and not up to par.

Great Food and lots of beer options. The gluten free pizza dough is made fresh not the frozen stuff you get most other places. Eveyone elses non gf food they said was great too! Will definitely visit again if in the area.

Great pool playing place! Great atmosphere. Beautiful wood work! Good food. Great service. Lots of parking. Handles large groups! Located in the down town area! Close to many shops and gas station. Near other taverns within walking distance.

When we arrived in New Paltz it was time for lunch. We saw Bacchus just off the main street and decided to stop. Neat place. A bit eclectic, but still inviting. It looks they have their own brewery, but with the rest of the day of touring ahead, that did not seem like a good idea. We both had veggie... More

I was invited to have dinner here as part of a group. The main reason Bacchus was selected was due to its extensive beer selection. As someone who can't consume alcoholic beverages for health reasons, I found the food to be average bar/ale house-type food. My fish tacos were good, but nothing to write home about. Everyone in our party... More

Went here with friends just for an evening out. Had gluten free pizza and it was delicious! Beer is what you should go for though. Very good choices. Nice staff as well and cool atmosphere. Reasonable on price.
