Inconsistency would sum most of this review up. We went two days I a row for breakfast, loved the Bistro Slam the first day, we ordered it again the second. First day: friendly waitress, order taken and food delivered in timely manner, fluffy pancakes. Second day: scruffy waiter took order of those who sat after us, took much longer for... More

This is my first bad review. I'm only writing because I wish others had written more honest reviews here. Perhaps the college atmosphere and low expectations are what get this place such great reviews. The french toast was possibly the worst I have ever eaten. The pancakes tasted of rancid cheap oil. The waitress was very nice but this was... More

Been here a bunch of times, every time I'm heading through New Paltz. The food is great, in particular the menu is fantastic for all kinds of diners (vegetarian, vegan, kids, picky eaters) and the price is extremely reasonable. My Mom gets the Elmer sandwich every time, no matter what else tempts her she can't resist the opportunity! I've had... More

I keep forgetting why I only go to this restaurant every few years, but now that it's in writing, I hope that I remember, so that I never have to subject myself to the agony of waiting 45 minutes for my egg based breakfast to be served to me. I just can't wrap my brain around why it takes so... More

I do not normally make it my practice to wait for a table, especially for brunch, especially after lolling around all morning until my stomach notified me there was a hunger emergency. There was a line out the door, waiting a half an hour. I have been coming to this restaurant when I come to this town over 16 years,... More

Gets busy; popular lunch spot. Big menu. I had chicken quesadillas, my husband had a bowl of chilli with jalapeño corn bread. The corn bread was fantastic...light, spicy, not greasy...really tasty. Great waiter called Derek who told us the place is owned by the drummer from Murphy's Law. Some cool music posters on the walls. Good place for some pretty... More

My husband was running the annual 1/2 marathon in New Paltz so I decided to try this spot for breakfast. I got there around 7:45 am and got the last available table. I ordered a V8 (and was immediately offered lemon with it) and the salmon hash and eggs. The food was excellent, a huge portion with a good amount... More

This place always has great food, Large variety to choose from. Breakfast any time of day. You can get organic or not. Servers are always excellent. They have one the town's best breakfast specials. Whether you get a salad, sandwich, breakfast, all.....good homemade from scratch food.
