Just a dinner

We stopped here on the way home from a trip down south. I would just say that this was food, neither good nor bad. It was dinner food nothing to rave about. The only negative thing that I would have to say is that it was a bit over priced for the average food. Waitstaff were pleasant, but nothing... read more

This used to be one of the go-to places in town. That was more out of convenience than quality which can simply be described as diner food. A diner up the road went out of business a while ago and these guys jacked their prices. I have avoided it since but placed a take out order today in desperation. I... More

First let me say I know I'm at a diner and not chez magnifico... But bringing lukewarm 3 hr old coffee to the table then telling me its a fresh pot is not the way to start off a meal especially at a diner.....seriously coffe eggs burger and fries are the only thing you can count on getting right at... Okay, we were hungry and decided to stop off of the NYS Thruway. We took a left off the exit and saw a diner on the right. We figured how bad could it be? The place was quaint enough looking with it's jukebox at the booth, but my husband ordered a coffee and a sandwich and I ordered the 1/2... More

Food way over priced, portions to small compared to other diners in the area. If you have to stop in new paltz try other diners or go to newburgh where food is better and you get way bigger portions. Alexis is good in my opinion. Avoid stopping at college diner if you can. Go left off of thruway and stop... More

If you're looking to dine at a fancy place, obviously you shouldn't be going to a diner (some of the reviews surprised me ...we're rating a diner here people). As far as diners go, this one was good. I liked the dark leather booths that although outdated, were well maintained and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and very efficient,... More

We were looking for food on our way up to Hunter Mountain, so we stopped here. It was very large inside, and we sat at a nice booth and enjoyed looking through the jukebox selection, that ranged in eras! It was really neat to see how many we knew. The food was average, not great. Took a little while to... More

We've head here every year for the haunted hayride. The service is good, the place is quiet. Remember the grilled cheese will have white american not yellow :) Really good. I heard someone talking about driving a long distance for their cannolis guess I'll have to try that next year! If they have any.

Rather than dine at a New York Thruway service area, we opted to get off the highway and avoid the fast food crowds. Saw the New Paltz exit, and the ever present "food" road sign. Chose the College Diner. Once seated, we scaned the most incredible menu I ever seen. Although the menu was typical diner fare, the prices were... More

Outdated decor and mediocre food. I had the country fried steak which included a potato and saled bar. The saled bar was ok with the basic offerings. The potatoe and macaroni saled was homemade and not from a bucket. The country fried steak was a good size portion but kind of bland. The sausage gravy was good. My wife had... More
