My wife and I were told about this lovely dining experience and we were very definitely NOT disappointed. Sandie's cooking is chef quality and more, Eric has a Basil Falty quality with humour. It really is a place for people who like good food, eclectic food in lovely surroundings. By the way we read the one negative review which seemed... More

For six years I wrote food reviews for The Ithaca Journal. Had written one years back about Niles Gourmet. Had dinner there with friends last night and once again, the experience was a 360 degree charming experience. Soooo, I decided to post my review from a few years back. Enjoy! amc ITHACA EATS Niles Gourmet by Anne Marie Cummings There... More

When I traveled to Italy for a semester during college, I toured nine countries and ate what I considered some of the best food in the world - that is until I came to Niles. I have now been twice and everything I have had from their menu has exceeded my expectations. My favorite item has been Sandie's lobster and... More

This is not for those that do not appreciate the intricate beauty of an intimate dining experience; where you get to know your hosts and the source of every ingredient on your plate. Sandie and Eric tirelessly cook, converse, and serve you an amazing experience every time you step foot in their gorgeous cabin that they built by hand. Once... More

What a gem! We have spent every summer on Skaneateles Lake for the last 25 years, and we have always wondered why the Finger Lakes Region does not have the high quality cuisine of other wine regions we've visited. We were so surprised and delighted to discover the Niles Gourmet! We loved the first course, the azuki and chorizo soup,... More

If there was a rating below "terrible", I'd use it. When we (a party of 6) arrived, no table was set for us. Food was ridiculously overpriced given the stingily small quantities. A $24 salad (represented as a possible appetizer for 3 people, so we had to order 2) consisted of a bed of fresh greens, a few tiny grapes... More

I have dined in fine restaurants all over the US, Europe, and the Middle East and Niles Gourmet is one of my top favorites. The menu is excellent, the food is nothing short of divine, the hosts are charming and the location is beautiful. I had the rabbit with burrata filled tortoloni...everthit ng melted in my mouth! The chocolate chestnut... More

Once again, Sandie and Eric provide an unbelievable experience in their beautiful log cabin. Intimate. Delicious. Inventive. Creative. Unique. There is simply nothing like it anywhere. The food is unbelievable...unimaginably good. Don't miss the elk filet. And find out what a real cheese platter looks like. And don't think about passing up on the soups. There is simply nothing that... More

This was a gem of a find -- unexpected quality food and wine in the middle of nowhere! The custom-built log cabin is incredible and an experience in itself. Add to that a fine selection of wines (we found a particular Nero d'Avola that we had recently enjoyed in Taormina, Sicily) and an accomplished chef in kitchen. What we ate:... More

Brick oven mediterranean cuisine at its best in an intimate, rural but sophisticated setting. Local, organic products and a impressive selection of wines and beers. My wife and I had a memorable experience.
