I have dined in fine restaurants all over the US, Europe, and the Middle East and Niles Gourmet is one of my top favorites. The menu is excellent, the food is nothing short of divine, the hosts are charming and the location is beautiful. I had the rabbit with burrata filled tortoloni...everthit ng melted in my mouth! The chocolate chestnut... More

Once again, Sandie and Eric provide an unbelievable experience in their beautiful log cabin. Intimate. Delicious. Inventive. Creative. Unique. There is simply nothing like it anywhere. The food is unbelievable...unimaginably good. Don't miss the elk filet. And find out what a real cheese platter looks like. And don't think about passing up on the soups. There is simply nothing that... More

This was a gem of a find -- unexpected quality food and wine in the middle of nowhere! The custom-built log cabin is incredible and an experience in itself. Add to that a fine selection of wines (we found a particular Nero d'Avola that we had recently enjoyed in Taormina, Sicily) and an accomplished chef in kitchen. What we ate:... More

Brick oven mediterranean cuisine at its best in an intimate, rural but sophisticated setting. Local, organic products and a impressive selection of wines and beers. My wife and I had a memorable experience.

I like to think I've had a lot of great food in my life, but if that is true then Niles Gourmet Bistro is in an entirely different category. Not only was the food the best I've probably ever had in my life, but the entire "dining experience" incredibly enjoyable. Not only did we leave with satisfied stomachs, but two... More

The lovely drive to Niles Gourmet was peppered with beautiful scenery and the scent of cut grass and wildflowers. Our entrance was no less breathtaking. A bit early for our reservation, we were encouraged to peruse the ever-changing menu with a delightful array of seasonal plants and exotic fish and meats - all organic, of course! Upon each of us... Upon calling up for a reservation, they were unable to make pizza with less than 24 hours notice.. Our meal was supposed to consist of .meat over pasta, but the rabbit must of merely hopped through it as there was very little trace. The antipasto ordered was a mixed array of meat and cheeses, but they were scarcely scattered with... More

We recently enjoyed an amazing meal at Niles Gourmet in mid-August, during a week long trip visiting the Finger Lakes area. As it might matter to some, we are foodies who are well traveled and enjoy dining both at food carts and hole in the wall dives, as well as at Michelin star restaurants in NYC and abroad. Niles Gourmet... More

Think of a trattoria in the Tuscan hills, or a tiny bistro in the south of France. Now add a voluminous and original menu of soups, meat and fish entrees, pastas and desserts and you have the Niles Gourmet Bistro, near Moravia, New York, owned and run by Sandie Becker, chef, and Eric Becker, host. Start with pear and asparagus... More
