Duryea's Last Days?

Love Duryea's Lobster Deck and we go there at least once or twice every August. Be prepared with CASH (and plenty of it). Also bring a sweater or jacket because it gets chilly in August after sunset. Nice little fish market with decent prices. My friends and I were renting a place in Montauk and were having a Sunday BBQ. Some of us new about this place so we drove over and picked up some live lobsters and tuna steaks. They were great tasting and a good deal. I just wish they weren't cash only. It is... More

Loved this place - all outdoors, beautiful sunset view on the bay, great food, not fancy - just what we were looking for. While not cheap, just loved the more authentic atmosphere, self service, not hurried, and fun. Plus the food was as good as we had anywhere.

Had not been here in several years , so we tried it for lunch with some friends. Food is good (not great) but the view makes the lunch. It is not over priced for the area , so give it a try.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Montauk with my sister and brother-in-law. We ended up getting the take out special from Duryea's. For $40 you get two lobsters, mussels or clams and a quart of New England clam chowder! Great deal for Montauk and the food was very good and reasonable - a nice easy dinner!!! Please make... More

This is not a restaurant. It is a place to order food at a stand and then go sit on plastic chairs and eat off of paper plates with plastic utensils. They boil things here. I felt fleeced upon leaving.

Enjoyed lunch here twice during our 4-day Montauk vacation. Great food- our lunches included lobster salad, clam chowder and lobster bisque, tuna melt, and broiled flounder, in a picture-perfect setting. Yes, it's pricy, but inexpensive good food is no longer part of the Montauk scene. Would have like some indoor seating for inclement weather.

There are so many places to have a "good" lobster roll in and around Montauk, but my wife & I were just curious to try this place, since we saw many signs for Duryeas's. The lobster roll was small, not much meat, did not taste that great & was VERY EXPENSIVE! If you get past this, make sure the weather... More

It has the reputation it does. $38 for a 1 1/2 pound lobster that you order at the counter and then have to go back and to pick up ( and they're not the friendliest people). At the least it could be delivered to your table. $24 lobster role was small and had a limited amount of meat. Oh, and... More

You can't go to Montauk and not have a lobster roll. This is a traditional lobster roll on a hot dog bun. It had plenty of large lobster chunks and was tasty. It came with coleslaw and chips, which I was able to substitute with potato salad. My husband had the clam chowder. It was a thinner chowder with plenty... More
