"Duryea's" is synonymous for commercial lobster in Montauk, but many visitors don't know about the "deck" the family opens on one end of the dock-shed where the boats unload their daily catch. This isn't in the village or on the harbor, it's tucked away on the inside shore (where the town used to be before the 1919 fire). Strictly no-frills,... More

I have been going here for 30 yrs. BYOB fish market atmosphere with the best views in Montauk. No frills, excellent seafood served no frills on paper/plastic plates.Waterside dining on Fort Pond Bay. I had a late lunch here with my wife recently. We both had lobster rolls, mine with a bun hers as a salad. A very generous serving... More

What in heaven's name happened to this place? It used to be a real pleasure and a highlight of summer to go here. We went last week and it was awful! Steamed mussels that were barely warm, shriveled, and served in a dry bowl, no broth, and they were tasteless. A lobster roll at $21 when lobster is under $4... More

For a rustic meal where you serve yourself and sit on the docks and relax with good company, Duryea is THE place for seafood lovers. They have a varied menu of shellfish, clam chowder, and fresh caught fish. Remember to bring your own alcohol!

You don't have to visit Maine to experience an old-school Lobster Shack. Duryea's fits that bill to a tee, and if you are a Lobster Lover, you'll be in paradise. The menu focuses on Lobster and other local seafood, and the outdoor deck features beautiful views of the local bays. The setting is rustic, and perfect for chilling out, and... More

Great spot on the water to kick-back and eat good food. A bit pricey, but you can bring your own beer/wine and the food is delicious. Always crowded but always a good meal. The help is summer help from eastern europe/soviet union so there's a bit of "attitude" to the place. Although we got there just before they closed and... More

The people who wrote good reviews are clearly on the take--as was the guy at our hotel who recommended this spot. A losbster dinner was approximately $35--three times more than you would pay anywhere else in the area. In addition, the lobster was dry, tasteless and clearly over cooked. The lobster roll--cheaper than a dinner by a very narrow margin--was... More

Duryea's Lobster Deck is a must stop for anyone who loves lobster. However, if you're expecting to eat your lobster in a fancy restaurant setting, you're going to be disappointed. At Duryea's, you're going to eat outside with plastic chairs, tables, and utensils. However, whether you go with the whole lobster, the lobster roll, or the lobster soup or clam... More

the price of the 1.5 lb lobster was the same as the 2.5 lbs lobster we had the next eve somewhere else.AND you do not get silverware but the little wood fork made for a challenge. Spending $78 a couple and eating off paper plates and a tray is not worth the view...oh and you have to bring your own... More
