Montauk memories

Enjoyed lunch here twice during our 4-day Montauk vacation. Great food- our lunches included lobster salad, clam chowder and lobster bisque, tuna melt, and broiled flounder, in a picture-perfect setting. Yes, it's pricy, but inexpensive good food is no longer part of the Montauk scene. Would have... read more

This is not a restaurant. It is a place to order food at a stand and then go sit on plastic chairs and eat off of paper plates with plastic utensils. They boil things here. I felt fleeced upon leaving.

There are so many places to have a "good" lobster roll in and around Montauk, but my wife & I were just curious to try this place, since we saw many signs for Duryeas's. The lobster roll was small, not much meat, did not taste that great & was VERY EXPENSIVE! If you get past this, make sure the weather... More

It has the reputation it does. $38 for a 1 1/2 pound lobster that you order at the counter and then have to go back and to pick up ( and they're not the friendliest people). At the least it could be delivered to your table. $24 lobster role was small and had a limited amount of meat. Oh, and... More

You can't go to Montauk and not have a lobster roll. This is a traditional lobster roll on a hot dog bun. It had plenty of large lobster chunks and was tasty. It came with coleslaw and chips, which I was able to substitute with potato salad. My husband had the clam chowder. It was a thinner chowder with plenty... More

stopped in for lunch this past friday. Cash only, so make sure you hit the ATM before you arrive. Had the lobster roll and it did not disappoint, very fresh and tasty. You order your food from a counter and then find your own table, luckily for us the weather was amazing and the view featured lots of seagulls on... More

Incredible setting. It's best known for lobsters. Beware that the Tuna melt is not tuna salad. It's BYOB and a great place to hang and relax. Nice staff.

This was my first weekend in Montuak. Duryea's was suggested to me by a friend in the city. At first when the cab dropped us off, I thought he had a made a mistake. The dirt road was quaint (I am from the city, I have seen 3 dirt roads in my life- looked like a scene from a Nicolas... More

Duryea's is a great experience to get the real Montauk feeling. It is an open air dock setting where you walk up to a window and order your fresh seafood. A seafood market is next door and everything is just off the boats. I had crab cakes which were very meaty and tasty. My daughter got to pick her 1.5... More

We had take-out lobster rolls one day and then returned to sit on the outdoor deck and had fish sandwiches. The setting is very casual, with plastic chairs and tables. All the seats look out over the water and it is quiet due to being on a side street. The lobster rolls were pretty good, but really skimpy on the... More
