My wife and I went here thinking we could get some good seafood, considering the restaurant is right next to Gosman's Fish Market. However, it was very cold inside, so the proprietor, George, started up the wood burning stove, only to smoke up the entire place. Now they had to open the doors to air out the place and that... I've been to Montauk a hundred times and never knew this place was here. A dockhand recommended lunch at this throwback to an earlier era. Great surroundings, friendly people, and great grub. This is the real McCoy folks! You'll recognize it by the sign "No Locals" by the front door. Yes, the place is packed with locals and those "in... More

We sat at the bar and waited 45 minutes for a table. The place was busy. The bartendar was pleasant. The crowd around us was rambunctious but we like that it is a neiborhood joint. Finally we were called for our table. Tripping and snaking our way around dark corners and tight table spaces we sat at our two seater... More

It is very slow service .. and the food very expensive ... The resturant is very small and very dark ... The mens bathroom is not clean ... and has no lock for privacy ... The server brought a cheeseburger with no cheese, you have to ask for everything else as extra ... The chocolate peanut butter pie is lacking... More

Busy place! A few nice beer to choose from while waiting though. Good burgers. All sorts of different people here; a melting pot. Very casual. People took the "no cellphone" policy very seriously. Many folks walked outside to take calls. Our waitress was not friendly but oh well. I will mention it's very dark inside. Very dark and they don't... More

Read reviews and expected a better experience. Not much in the way of service or even a friendly welcome. Oyster sandwich was good but at $14 it would be nice if they would throw in two spoonfuls of cole slaw. The side will cost you $3 more. Food was decent but I like to feel as if the staff cares... This was our second time at the Dock and we were looking forward to some simple local fare, hopefully with fresh seafood for lunch. When we arrived, the scallops that were on the menu was crossed out, I guess due to being sold out. Enjoyed the clam chowder, Manhattan style, for flavor, but was lacking clams. I remember great chowder... More

From the eclectic decor to the reasonable prices, not to mention the amazing food this is the best place for mussels on Montauk. I believe a big bowl was around 12 dollars, plenty for two adults. We will be back!
