Food was tasty, wait staff was attentive, we ate on the front patio. Food was moderately priced as far as Montauk goes.

Nice beach atmosphere, pleasant staff, good food but expensive. $20 bucks for eggs and nasty coffee; but that's because of the location. As a solo traveler I was ignored but that's part the usual.

The best pancakes. The location is great and a little off the beaten path. We ate outside which was really nice. The store had some cute things too.

The food is ok... nothing spectacular.. if you have to go there, try to eat in the garden. They seem a little understaffed for the amount of tables so you end up waiting for coffee and water and once the food comes, which is ok, you have to wave at the overworked staff to get refills or attention if something... We came for breakfast. We were seated quickly. They came with coffee almost immediately but neither one of us wanted coffee (they kept coming around asking). I asked for iced tea. We ordered simply...scrambled eggs and cantaloupe. Should be a quick, easy order. Just cut a cantaloupe in half, put on plate. Break 2 eggs, scramble, cook, put on plate....simple.... More

After reading the reviews I recommended to my friends that we give this place a try. Boy was I sorry I did. First the utensils at my place setting we're dirty and needed to be replaced. We arrived around 930am thinking we had plenty of time for our 11am hotel checkout. After waiting a bit to place our order after... More

I have been coming here for years. The breakfast menu is varied and all entrees are flavorful. The portions are large and the prices fair. The back open air terrace is lovely on a breezy day. It's a bit of a tight squeeze however. Speaking of squeeze, the freshly squeezed OJ is a must order.

Located at 47 South Elmwood Avenue, Bird on the Roof has been there for 33 years. Serving only breakfast, we found the prices here to be very reasonable (a better deal than an establishment on Main Street) with heftier serving sizes. The menu has A LOT of choices, so I think you will have no problem finding something you'd like.... More
