In spite of a reservation which we arrived promptly for we had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. That's okay as there was a lot to people see. When finally seated the actual menu list only 1/5 of the items posted on the website. So go there with an open mind. While the waiter service was good, the kitchen... More

We picked the Surfside Inn based on very positive reviews for the food, and they were right! Salads were fresh and delicious, and our mains excellent. I had a seared ahi tuna on greens, beautifully cooked and seasoned. My husband had a shrimp dish "Savannah style", cooked with sausage and cheesy grits, that was better than similar dishes we had... We have been coming to Montauk for 7 years, and never tried this restaurant. After reading Trip Advisor reviews we found it. This place is incredible. Great views of the ocean across the Old Montauk Hwy. Great warm inviting atmosphere. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful. But the real story is the food. I cannot say that I have had... More

This is a hidden gem in Montauk with a stellar location and well prepared food with a good variety. Crowd tends to be repeaters and people in the know. Staff is quite pleasant and attentive. It hard to go wrong here with the beautiful ocean view.

Came because of the reviews here and we were not disappointed. Lovely view from a quaint but not fancy dining room. We were here early, so no noise problems as some have complained about. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious with portions that were filling but not ridiculous. My friend had a soup that she... More

I am hesitant to share this gem but it is too good to keep to myself. Best view in Montauk and the food is fantastic! This is one of the only original Montauk establishments left!

We had an excellent dinner at the Surfside Inn. The service was outstanding, cordial and attentive to every detail. The food was excellent. Fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. And the ribs were to die for. The chef brings his southern roots to the menu, to provide a varied and interesting menu. Absolutely delicious.

Chef Gary has infused the menu with some special southern dishes. The fish is always cooked perfectly. If you get there before sunset the view of the ocean is beautiful from the booths as well as from the porch.

Very pretty small to medium sized dining room with good views of the fireworks from the balcony and parking lot (columbus day weekend gucci fireworks). Able to accommodate parties of 2 to much larger tables for groups which of course makes the noise level very high to hear your dining partner(s). This was our first experience at this restaurant. Had... More
