I came here for lunch on Labor Day Weekend. The ocean view is a very big plus. I had the field greens salad followed by a lobster roll, which the waiter said was "The best." It was good, not sure about "best," but the price at $18.95 was reasonable. The First Mate's Tartufo (raspberry sorbet and vanilla gelato with a... More

If you are looking for a reasonably priced but excellent meal and don't need to be seen in a hip restaurant with lots of noisy customers, definitely consider the Surfside Inn. Service was gracious and not rushed, the seafood was fresh and delicious, and the ocean views marvelous, as we sat outside on the front porch. Great, stress-free evening.

The food was great and the drinks were even better! We had seafood and were very pleased with our meals...tasty and fresh! The view of the ocean from a distance was also very nice. We sat inside by the window (there are also outside seating). The staff was nice for the most part but not the most attentive--we had to... More

Amazing food and view. The staff was friendly and gracious. They were extremely attentive to our table. I would like to address the previous review saying this was not a kid friendly place. Our children were treated very kindly because they have manners. They did not run around and sat in their seats (what children should so in a restaurant)... More

Exquisite seafood. This is that kind of cozy restaurants with a heart stopping view, in front of the Atlantic Ocean. This time we got the sunset. The best seafood and comfy. Gorgeous and splendid seafood. The best choice, number one for dinner in Montauk. I had the duck skins, the pork ribs, the shrimp cocktail, The bottle of pinot noir... More

After reading reviews that it was kid friendly and calling to hear the same....as we walked up the stairs there was a huge sign that read..." Please keep children Quiet and they must remain in their seats!" WHAT? So we proceeded anyway and as we did my two yo daughter touched the chalk board with the specials...wiping away a little... Always our 1st stop for dinner - also for the last 15 years. The best local fish dishes - halibut, striped bass, fluke - clever but not overly complicated - the fish is the star - sometimes Asian flavors, other times the American South or Latin America. Their chefs return year after year so the menu is consistent, the servings... More

Once again, my wife and i and our friends enjoyed another great meal and evening at Surfside Inn. We've been coming out to Montauk for over 15 years and since we discovered this wonderful restaurant we always end our vacation here with a great meal. This year , three of us had the halibut special with a horseradish crust and... More

This restaurant is a gem. Great food, excellent staff, family ambience. Started with calamari and popcorn prawns. Main dishes were fillet mignon, rack of ribs, salmon, seafood chowder, potato skins & burger were all rated tops. Desserts are out of this world. Fried cheesecake is a must. Mud pie and Bailey's gelato just pipped into 2nd place. If you're in... More

Everything here was quite delicious. My friends and I all enjoyed everything we had. The duck potatoes skins were great. My pork shank was tender, huge and extremely flavorful.
