A most enjoyable lunch watching the boats and enjoying the beers

We didn't do research to find this restaurant, we just drove around and liked the look of the place, location and easy parking at lunchtime in October. The beers, the oyster appetizer and the lunch entrees didn't disappoint. The view through the windows to the harbor was just what was expected... read more

What you'd expect. Eventually, the shucking of clams becomes the only differentiating factor. Shucks!

Lovely chowder here. It's famous for it, well with a name like The Clam and Chowder House, you'd hope so. Hehe. So I tasted som of my fellow diners chowder. Yum yum. I ordered the tuna and avocado roll and it was fine, albeit the rice was a bit scarce. At least compared to the tuna and avocado roll I... More

The beers, the oyster appetizer and the lunch entrees didn't disappoint. The view through the windows to the harbor was just what was expected. The price was right. Great menu based on a range of enticing "small plates". Service at chef's counter was excellent. Good ambience.

What a great find in Montauk. We went to visit the lighthouse and on the way back stopped in at the Clam and Chowder house at Salivar's Dock. We sat at the bar on the dock and enjoyed drinks and sushi appetizers. There were mostly locals sitting at the bar and everyone was super friendly. The sushi was as fresh... More

Finally, a new eatery to replace the old Salivar's. This place opened up this year, and it already has a strong following. That's because it probably offers the best fresh fish in Montauk at a very fair price. The fish items are sourced by boat, so you know which commercial fishing boat at Montauk caught your dinner. The appetizers and... More

Came here with friends for food and drinks. Great location next to the docks. They also have a large upstairs deck, however there is no food or bar service up there. We are not seafood eaters, but the rest of our group was and they raved about the freshness and flavor. I didn't give it a 5 rating because service... More
