Great place for lunch

Went to this restaurant for lunch and it was exactly what we were looking for. Cosy friendly atmosphere and great food right on the marina. Music good , even played "Dock of the Bay" almost on cue. Lobster rolls and Sushi very good as was the raw bar. Good to see local wines on the menu and the... read more

Visited in August with friends. Its a 3 hour train trip from NYC .. but Montauk is worth the visit. On the Sunday we arrived, brunch was on the menu - The hostess Lydia could only offer seating at the bar which we gladly accepted. Food is superb and the bloody marys really pack a punch. Overlooks the marina and... More

Went to the Clam and Chowder house on recommendation from someone at the chamber of commerce. Arrived by 5:45pm on a Saturday evening and sat in the last table available for 2. Very busy, hopping place. Causal atmosphere. I ordered New England Clam Chowder which was good, but could use with more clams. There was a special soup of the... More

Whozers what a breakfast. Now I love an American breakfast but this takes the biscuit. I had the hook line and sinker, it was delishous. Crispy hashbrown with a burger patty, with melted cheese and an egg on top, now that's what I call hang over food all whilst looking out to the dock having our drinks constantly refilled and... this place used to be salivar's bar for many years and it closed 3 years ago and was reborn as this restaurant. first of all they completely renovated the entire place and it is now spacious and roomy to our delight. there is also an upper level where you can relax with a drink and watch the world go by...all... First experience was quite good; second not so due to small portion sizes; nice setting; very slow with drink orders both visits

Went here on a Tuesday night with another couple. Wound up waiting about 2 hours even though a third of the tables were empty. The staff was nice enough but they said they had issues in the kitchen. We are ten jalapeño yellowtail app at the bar which was delicious. Food was good but by the time our main dish... More

Chowder house moved from its quaint location at west lake marina to the former salivars location. I think the move went to its head. Besides longer than ever waits- 1 1/2-2 hrs they now have a bad attitude from the hostesses to the bartender. No Longer welcoming to kids. The upper deck is exclusive to those over 21 only. I... My wife and I were supposed to be in Maine, but the trip was cancelled so we went to the East End instead. We had dinner at WLC&C House. It was my second time there in a month. We sat upstairs and watched the boats coming and going. Very pretty and picturesque. The bartenders were friendly and professional. Our dinner... More

August Saturday afternoon. Good dock scene, fish, boats, fisherman. Food was good as usual. Price has accelerated upwards with the crowd, while portions were on the small side. They are passing on the locals for the kids with the wall street wallets. Sad trend on the east end.
