Enjoyable traditional montauk

We decided to have lunch before getting on the ferry. Glad we did! Bloody Mary was special, nice cocktail taste to the tomato juice and presented well. Clam chowder was tasty with right amount of ingredients. I had the New England and it was good. My hubby opted for swordfish. This was an... read more

This place relocated to Salivar's Dock from West Lake Marina. I go here for the freshest sea food and their excellent soft shell crab sandwich. Oyster's and clams are excellent as well. I like the bar area for the ambiance and you can watch 2 big screen TV's. Also a nice selection of Tap Beer, which I prefer. Check it... More

A few years ago, I met some locals to get the inside scoop on the best places to eat in Montauk. Don't eat here, go away, I don't want to wait for all you tourists. It's terrible, don't eat here, go to MacDonald's in the city, and stay there while you're at it.

We decided to take a walk from our hotel and stop by. There was live music playing upstairs and the inside of the renovated Salivars was a welcome surprise! We had a delicious dinner and even returned the next morning for breakfast. This is a must when in Montauk!

We went for breakfast..another Montauk establishment that seems not fond of weekenders..it was Sunday..they serve breakfast till 10:00 am only and they mean it..The server we had ..was oozing attitude..we placed our orders after waiting for quite a while..we were not alone..everyone there sat..waiting..I requested that my eggs not be runny and my friends that the burger be well done..we... The Atmosphere is pleasant with a choice of a Loud Bar Room, A small middle room, and a larger Porch Room looking over the Water/Bay. No Reservations, so you get a beeber device, and wait for a table., it can take 45-60 minutes or more to get seated. There is a roof top sitting area, with nice outdoor lounge furniture,... More

we always come to this place because the food is fresh, delish, and consistent. the fish and chips are some of the best I have eaten with the white fillets crispy and not oily. the fish dishes are creative and well presented with freshness being the first priority. try the clam chowder because it is some of the best in... Under new ownership, this place is great. The interior is entirely new. Waitstaff is great. The food is amazing! We'll be back before we leave town.

Ate at several places in Montauk, all were good to excellent, but this place really stood out as the best. Tuna, swordfish and maco shark were all superb, along with the oysters & full sushi selection. Had a nice chat with the owner before dinner, who filled us in on on the details of the days catch. Dinner was so... More

The location is great for lunch, get a table out on the enclosed deck to get in the mood with an awesome view of the boats and harbor. The food we ordered ranged from average to very good. Nothing bad, but nothing great. One in our party ordered one of their expensive, elaborate sushi rolls, which was the best of... More
