This restaurant does not take reservations, so I was taken aback when we were led to an undesirable table and when I asked to sit in one of the two other open tables I was told they hold those for hotel guests who may want to dine. Could they not sit where we were placed? Anyway, the menus come (a... More

We enjoyed our meal at the Crows Nest. The staff was very polite and the food/atmosphere was enjoyable.

One of those places that lives of the location, past reputation... Very overpriced for the quality and portion sizes... And the style of the wait staff makes you wonder what kind of place this is...

Try as I might, I couldn't find a single thing wrong with this fabled Montauk spot. The location overlooks a stunning stretch of water. We four were seated immediately at one such table with a superb view. Our waiter, Kevin, who delivered outstandingly all evening, took our drinks order and we matched our cocktails with a lovely meze selection. Our... More

Their wine is unexceptional and over priced. Very dark! We waited an hour and our table still wasn't ready. The hostess was rude; he had a snobbish attitude and didn't seem to care when we walked out. This restaurant is only interested in volume not in offering quality food and service. Don't waste your money!

This restaurant is a favorite of my son who spends summer weekends in Montauk, beautiful setting, pleasant staff. But unlike many true quality restaurants will not cook the meal the way the patron may need it cooked. My wife has been ill since eating there this evening because the chef and manager bullied her into accepting a halibut dish she... More

This place is paradise. What a great setting. Sat in the porch with windows open overlooking the lake. The menu is limited and expensive. We ordered the meze platter and cucumber salad for appetizers and the squash risotto, curry vegetable and short ribs as a main course. The only thing I would recommend is the short ribs. Portions are small.... More

First, bring a flashlight so you can read the menu, then notice there is no wine under $60 a bottle (even a mediocre LI blend that heads their list), then try to finish the white radish with tampanade that they serve as an amuse bouche - horrible but "free". Order the crab tagliatelle and experience the driest pasta you have... More

The Crow's Nest is in an awesome location with an amazing view. The food's very good but the prices are out of site. I think the fluke is the best item on the menu but $42? A bit pricey
