This place is paradise. What a great setting. Sat in the porch with windows open overlooking the lake. The menu is limited and expensive. We ordered the meze platter and cucumber salad for appetizers and the squash risotto, curry vegetable and short ribs as a main course. The only thing I would recommend is the short ribs. Portions are small.... More

First, bring a flashlight so you can read the menu, then notice there is no wine under $60 a bottle (even a mediocre LI blend that heads their list), then try to finish the white radish with tampanade that they serve as an amuse bouche - horrible but "free". Order the crab tagliatelle and experience the driest pasta you have... More

The Crow's Nest is in an awesome location with an amazing view. The food's very good but the prices are out of site. I think the fluke is the best item on the menu but $42? A bit pricey

This was quite a drive from where we were, but wow, what a cool place. I hear people say that this is expensive or that you will have to wait (they don't take bookings in advance) but hey, who cares ? first you are going to wait in a super nice outdoor lounge around a fire, sipping a super nice... A few of us went there for dinner on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We expected a wait and then a great meal. Well we had one of the two. Everyone says great food. Well that never happened. First, when you order you cant even see the menu. Every table is sharing their iPhone lights so they can read. Well... More

Everything about the Crows Nest was way out of whack. A glass of wine will cost you $16. There are no inexpensive bottles of wine either. The scallop dish may have been well prepared but four scallops for an entree - give me a break. The fluke was $42 - for fluke!!!. There are plenty of great restaurants in Montauk... More

Montauk is a very special place! As teenagers, my mother and father walked the sandy shores, made late night runs to Salivar's and shared ice cream cones from John’s drive-in. It was the place they fell in love and in fact is the reason why I am here today. They even considered naming me Dune but changed their mind at... More

While staying out in MTK, a local advised us "if you're only going to go out for one dinner in Montauk, you must go to The Crows Nest." A group of us visited on a Wed. There was no wait for a table inside the beautiful open-air restaurant. The decor is different (Luxurious African safari?), yet very pleasing. The restaurant... More

If you are expecting the old crows nest with its amazing food, great options, and great portions you are going to the wrong place. I don t understand why they kept the same name because this place is totally different, tiny portions which all exceed 38 dollars and are not good, the drinks were poorly made, and the service was... If you are looking for an amazing high quality meal this is the spot. Everything on the menu is fresh! Get there early because the wait can be long.
