Real old looking place with decent prices and nice tasting food. The oldest restaurant in Montauk we were told. We got the 19.95 specials.

this bar is fantastic for hanging out and just havin a few cold beers and a chat. if your lookin for a place with all the bells and whistles this aint it. but if u want an honest to goodness bar restaurant with bucket loads of down home charm this is your spot.

I hate writing a poor review but unfortunately it may be the oldest and most outdated restaurant on montauk. The waitress/bartender was polite. We were the only patrons dining which probably should have told us to turned around right there but we stayed. The food was mediocre and unimpressive. The breading on the fish and chips was supermarket breading. If... More

I finally had a meal at Trails End and was very impressed. Personal service, great food and good atmosphere. It looks like an old family restaurant, but don't let that fool you. Food is very very good!

I used to work in trails end when I was there one summer back in 2008!a bit random writing this but I was only discussing my fond memories of the place. Great service, of course and a good atmosphere! I thought the food was delicious when I had time to eat. A nice homely place and kind regards to Eric... More

The atmosphere is old, out dated and kind of dirty. The food is mediocre at best but the worst part was the service. Our waitress was visibly upset that we even showed up for dinner and then it went down hill from there. My wife's order was wrong but the waitress argued that it wasn't and that she would bring... This is the oldest restaurant in Montauk, and the menu reflects this. It has many of the same items that were staples on menus decades ago--turkey with all the trimmings (why wait until Thanksgiving?), Long Island duckling with orange sauce, Salisbury steak with onion and mushroom gravy. I've gone multiple times and haven't ever been disappointed. Portions are very generous.... More

Top rate food presented with top rate service. The food at this restaurant captures two great Long Island traditions - seafood and duck. Just beautifully prepared and worth every penny. Staff extremely patient and helpful; let them pick the wine. They know what they are doing.
