I frequent this restaurant out in Montauk. I believe that most of the restaurants on the East End are over-hyped and overpriced, but I haven't been disappointed in this restaurant yet. The calamari salad is a MUST, and so are their pasta dishes. Frequent seasonal specials are really great thing, and there is a certain charm with family style eating... More

We arrived just before opening at 5pm and waited on the short line to sit outside at a table for 9. The service was friendly--we were relieved to hear of the enormous portions when we saw the pricing. Four main dishes and 2 salads were enough for our table. The salmon was a favorite.

The food was acceptable, but combined with the inattentive service and high prices I can only rate it average. I'm a frequent visitor to Montauk but I won't be going back to the Harvest for some time.

Great service, not rushed, top chef food! Try the oysters and the swordfish piccatta, you will be happy that you did.

Some people judge the restaurant by the size of it's portions. If you are that type - you are in luck. The portions are not really just "family style" - they are for "LARGE family"/ Buckets of pasta with some greasy sauces, 2-3 pounds of fish per dish, huge chunks of meat on the plate, which is used to serve... Harvest always has amazing food and the staff supports the experience. The ambience is enjoyable and its comfortable to wait for a table if you don't have a reservation.

We've eaten at Harvest several times and last Saturday was one of them. We had a 6:45 reservation and were seated promptly. The service was excellent, we asked to have our cocktails before ordering and weren't rushed. I ordered a cabernet by the glass and it was outstanding (the more expensive one.,,can't remenber the name). There were 3 of us... More

All meals and sides are intendedfor 2, so when looking at the pr$ces keep that in mind. MUST have reservations and can be packed on weekends. Outside dining and on the water is a good part of the attraction. Swordfish served thin sliced on a long plater for 2 was tasty, moist with plenty to take home. Not sure it... More

I stopped in with my husband who's frequented Montauk almost 50 years. The restauraunt is full of entitled guys trying to impress their girls. It's no longer a family place. The food was good, nothing amazing that justifies the extremely high prices. Not worth the hype. Won't go back.
