So I took the kids here for dinner and they had one choice for kids: chicken fingers... and guess what? they were out of them!!! My kids are a bit picky but would eat normal American food which they had none of! They ordered a sausage on a bun ($7/ea) and were very disappointing. I wanted just a regular ceasar... More

Great place to eat German food and during October and May they have Octoberfest when you can listen to good German music.

Well, this was our third visit to the Montauk version of Zum's. Unfortunately it was the least enjoyable of the three. After a member of our party went to the restaurant earlier in the day to see about getting a table for 14 for an early dinner and was told to be there no later than 5:30 (and we were)... More

Don't go there for the décor but the food and service are both good. German cuisine is hard to find on the East End and this is pretty genuine. The service is friendly and efficient. The beer list is outstanding. The prices are genuine East End high.

Not inexpensive. Great beer selection and good authentic German food. Love the potato pancakes. On the night we went, service was so-so...waitress not all that attentive. We had to go to the back register and ask for our bill. Bar staff seemed to have over served a very drunk older man who was on the ground outside in the pouring... More

Traditional German menu with favorites such as wursts and sauerbraten. My large portion of sauerbraten consisted of 3 thin slices of meat and I replaced the dumplings with spaetzle. While it took a while for the food to be served and it was a quiet Wednesday night, it was worth the wait. The staff was attentive and always available if... More

Look, this place speaks for itself. The grosse wurst plate and schnitzel were better than just good, the beer selection was outstanding, and the service was all over it. Not inexpensive...especially the beer...but well worth it if this is your kind of thing.

Post Hamptons Marathon dinner for 9 went perfectly at Zum Schneider. All the adults have toured Germany extensively and agreed the food was both delicious and authentic. My three year old stole half my wurst, but I returned the favor by eating most of his spaetzle (a must). Great warm and attentive staff, very large German beer selection, and indoor... More

Biggest stein of beer I ever had. Food was delicious and service very attentive. There was a very large crowd seated next to us but the staff did not forget us.
